Chapter 13
Chapter 13
Natalie’s eyes were red and swollen, like a puppy that’d been kicked one too many times.
“Lammy, my foot’s killing me,” she whimpered.
Freya tried to shove past Liam, ready to storm out.

He grabbed her wrist, yanking her back into his arms. His brows furrowed as he snapped, “Where the hell you going this late?”
“Mind your own business. Keep your little sidepiece in check,” Freya said.
“Didn’t we agree to drop that shit?” Liam shot back, already pulling out his phone.
Freya glared. “Who’re you calling now?”
“Building management. They’ll figure out how to get Natalie outta here.”
Freya yanked her hand back with all her might. “Let go of me, Liam!”
“I didn’t walk away when you gave your first time to some other guy. You’re not bailing on me now!”
Liam didn’t wait for her to argue. He threw Freya over his shoulder like a ragdoll and marched into the master bedroom.
Freya kicked and thrashed like a wildcat. “Liam, are you freaking insane? What the hell are you doing?”
“Doing?” He tossed her onto the soft bed and climbed over her in one quick move, grabbing her chin and kissing her hard. Through clenched teeth, he growled, “Making a baby.”
“Hiss-” Liam pulled back, wincing with a sharp breath.
He touched his tongue, a smear of bright red blood on his fingertip. “You bit me?”
Freya sucked in air, her voice cold as ice. “Your little girlfriend’s still out there gawking!”
Liam muttered a curse and stomped toward the door.
Natalie was still slumped on the floor, too stunned by the chaos to react.
But when she saw Liam heading her way, her old reliance on him kicked in, and fresh tears spilled out. “Lammy, it hurts so bad…”
Slam!
Liam slammed the master bedroom door shut, the sound rattling the walls like a thunderclap.
The door cut off Natalie’s view, but what was happening inside was painfully obvious.

Chapter 13
Natalie wasn’t an idiot. Nobody who climbed to the top of the sales game could be.
She’d heard every word of Liam and Freya’s fight, clear as day.

Liam loved Freya-no doubt about it. He was just nursing a grudge because her first time wasn’t with him.
He felt robbed, hurt, and pissed. So he’d picked her-Natalie-as his way to get even.
All his sweet talk, all his pampering, was just a damn charade. A cheating drama to soothe his bruised ego.
Natalie let out a bitter scoff, gripping the wall to haul herself up.
‘Fine. If he wants to play dirty, I am not about to play nice,’ she thought bitterly.
Inside the master bedroom, it was like a war zone.
Freya fought like her life was on the line. Liam, usually all tender and sweet, was a different beast now- forceful, unyielding, and in control.
She shoved at him; he pinned her wrists above her head, trapping her.
She kicked; he pushed her legs apart, pressing them down.
Freya’s frustration boiled over into tears, and she spat, “Liam, this is assault, married or not! I’ll haul your ass
to court!”
“Go ahead! Ryan’s a lawyer-good luck beating me. I’ll take your last name if you win!” he shouted.
“You… get off me, you jerk!”
Freya finally broke free for a split second, slamming her knee into his groin with everything she had.
Liam’s face twisted, going pale as a ghost. He still held her wrists to keep her from bolting, but he froze, doubled over in pain.
The fight drained them both. Freya was too wiped out to keep resisting.
Her hands still pinned, she turned her face away, refusing to even look at him.
Liam caught his breath and rolled off her, lying beside her and pulling her close by the waist. “Come on, babe, don’t be like that. I fucked up. Let’s just move on, yeah?”
Freya squeezed her eyes shut.
