HIS DOE, HIS DAMNATION (An Erotic Billionaire Romance) novel Chapter 137

Meadow’s POV:

“Your ex–boyfriend here doesn’t realize exactly how screwed he is, baby,” Alaric murmured, pushing his foot down harder against Tyler’s chest. “You tried to assault my wife right after you played in her face, you called her on the phone and threatened her… if only you knew how close to death you were that night, Cross. You can ask Meadow. I bent her over my desk and she asked me to punish her instead.”

I froze. He was referring to the night he whipped me with his belt. Alaric didn’t glance at me before he continued, something dark lacing his tone. “And I did. I punished her in place of you. And I’m not saying I didn’t fucking enjoy it, but the fact that she took a punishment for your undeserving ass made me want to end you even more.”

My throat thickened and I rose to my feet. Alaric looked at me then, something dark and lustful in his gaze as he scraped it over my body before refocusing on Tyler.

“But you treating Meadow like shit wasn’t the only reason I wanted to destroy you.”

Tyler’s jaw clenched, but he didn’t say a word, or fight–I mean, how could he? He was completely under his mercy.

“I watched you for months before I had you promoted to be my assistant, and you see, Cross, I knew you had been stealing from me.”

Tyler froze.

And so did I.

Tyler was leading the sales department when we were together, and his job seemed like an honest one- although I never questioned when he got a car completely outside his budget and seemed to be putting more money into investments–investments that were failing.

Which was fucking ironic if you thought about it, because this company was majorly an investment company.

“What?” I breathed.

“No,” Tyler started. “No, no, sir. I wasn’t. I swear-”

“You can lie all you want but I have valid proof. And not to mention, the stunt you pulled last time when you made that unauthorized transaction.”

My brows drew together in confusion. I had no idea what he was talking about.

“But that… that wasn’t me-” Tyler tried to protest.

“But it could be. Easily,” Alaric cut in sharply, taking his foot off his chest and crouching down. “I don’t think you understand where I’m coming from, Cross. You have no power, no integrity, lately, you’ve been turning into quite the gambler, your girlfriend certainly doesn’t love you as much as you think she does, you’re a liar and a thief, and I can make sure that you’re never hired by a reputable company ever again.”

Sweat broke out profusely on Tyler’s face. Alaric pulled him up by the collar of his shirt so he was now sitting up.

“Sir, please,” Tyler begged.

“So now you can beg?” Alatte murmured with a chuckle. “You were ready to quit just a few minutes ago, weren’t you? And in your own words, ‘you don’t own the ‘Well, guess what, bastard? I do. Everything you are is because of me, and everything you will be from the moment you walk out of this office will still be because of me.” He turned to face me. “It’s about time we informed the police about his criminal activities, don’t you think so, baby?”

Before I could answer, Tyler started shaking his head profusely. “No. No, please. I never meant to harm anymore. Please, don’t have me arrested. Meadow.” He turned to look at me, crocodile tears in his eyes. “Tell him, please. I never meant to hurt you. You know that.”

“No,” I answered firmly. “I don’t. You deserve to go to jail, Tyler. For everything that you’ve done, both to me and this company.” My lips curled downward in a sneer. “You’re disgusting, and disgraceful”

Alaric had already released him, and now, Tyler scrambled to his knees. “Meadow, I’m sorry-

“You’re not,” Alaric said. “You just realized how serious things are and you’re trying to see if you can rectify the situation. But you can’t.” His gaze narrowed. “You fucking can’t.”

Tyler’s shoulders fell, and a sensation fluttered in my chest. One of pride. One that was very elated seeing Tyler being brought to his knees and turned into a mushy, begging, bloodied mess.

“Or…” Alaric hummed thoughtfully. “There is something you can do for me actually.”
