Wolfless, Unbroken Abandoned novel Chapter 59

Chapter 59

The call girls gathered in the Public Relations lounge exchanged surprised glances as they witnessed Elaine’s sudden panic. From the corridor, Charlotte’s sharp voice had pierced through faintly, but the details of her confrontation with Elaine remained a mystery.

“What has Georgia done this time? Charlotte’s here, demanding Elaine track Georgia down herself!” one murmured.

“Why does Georgia even matter to Charlotte?”

“True enough.

Their chatter buzzed around Elaine, but she paid it no heed. Bursting into the lounge, her urgency driving her steps, Elaine spotted Georgia sitting quietly.

“Georgia, you…” Elaine began, the usual arrogance in her tone faltering as Charlotte’s words echoed in her mind. Clearing her throat awkwardly, she softened, “Are you alright?”

Georgia blinked in confusion. ‘Since when did she ever care? she thought.

“I’m fine,” Georgia replied simply.

Elaine hesitated, then plunged forward, “I need to ask you something–about Room 3, on the third floor.”

Georgia tensed instantly.

“Relax,” Elaine added quickly, attempting reassurance. “I’m just curious. Why were you there? I didn’t send you up there today.”

As she spoke, Elaine’s mind raced, piecing together fragments of harsh truths known but unspoken at Vetro Club. ‘Maybe Georgia went up there on her own, chasing money,” she thought bitterly. ‘Everyone knows what she did before, even if we’re not allowed to discuss it. She sacrificed her dignity for cash–mevhe even risked her life.”

*Someone asked me to go,” Georgia said, brushing it on Condony, one assumed Elaine’s questions were routine. After all, she had indeed gone without orders.

Elaine narrowed her eyes. “Who?”

Georgia shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe one of the guests. They called for me specifically.”

Elaine’s gaze sharpened, probing deeper. “Was there anyone else from the staff in the room with you?”

“L…” Georgia began, then stopped herself. She wasn’t naive. She understood the subtle edge behind Elaine’s questions. This wasn’t mere curiosity–Elaine was fishing. And Georgia had no intention of betraying anyone. That wouldn’t be right. “Who?” Elaine pressed again.

Georgia held her silence, unwavering

A flicker of helplessness crossed Elaine’s eyes. She gave Georgia’s shoulder a gentle pat. “Get some rest, then.”

Suddenly, Elaine’s eyes caught on Georgia’s clothes–and widened in alarm. She hadn’t noticed earlier, distracted by her need for answers.

Georgia’s shirt was a man’s, clearly expensive; the sweatpants hung loose, cut for a male frame.

Elaine recognized the brand immediately. Preston.

She scrutinized Georgia’s plain demeanor. No special airs, no hint of privilege–but those clothes said otherwise.

Charlotte, trailing behind, didn’t enter the lounge Instead, she leaned against the wall nearby, listening through the door. Though fragments of conversation filtered through unclearly, it was enough.

Charlotte pulled out her phone and called Lorenzo. “Who was with you when you entered that room? Was there any staff in Vetro Club uniform?”

Without hesitation, Lorenzo replied, “A woman. Pretty. I don’t know her name, but there was something familiar about her.”

Charlotte hung up, then immediately called the Personnel Department. “Send me the current employee roster and photos,
