“What’s Alexander doing down there?” Arianna’s voice was full of surprise as she peered out the window.

Natalie watched Alexander standing in the rain, her face completely unreadable. “Just ignore him. Let’s finish eating.”

Arianna shot her a worried look. “Natalie, are you really not going to talk to him? He’s just standing out there in the rain. Aren’t you even a little worried…”

“Arianna, it’s over. Whatever he does now has nothing to do with me,” Natalie said, her tone calm and distant.

Arianna let out a gentle sigh and followed Natalie back to the table. Their hot pot simmered in silence for a moment before Arianna spoke again.

“Natalie, Bruce told me everything. They’d suspected Camila for a long time but never had any proof. When they finally found something, they started planning, all the way back at that White Group dinner.”

She paused, choosing her words carefully. “Camila actually hired a private investigator to tail Alexander. To get her off his back, Alexander had to play along. But when you did that livestream, he secretly boosted your views so more people would see you. And by the way, he’s the one who pulled those negative stories about you off the trending list.”

Arianna hesitated. “Natalie, I think there’s been a big misunderstanding between you two.”

She was still angry at Alexander for hurting Natalie—pain was pain, no matter the reasons. But she had also seen how much Natalie once loved him. She didn’t want Natalie making a decision she’d regret, not when she didn’t know the whole story.

Natalie turned to look out the window. The rain was coming down harder now.

After a few seconds, she set her chopsticks down. “Arianna, you go ahead and eat. I’m going downstairs for a bit.”

She got up, grabbed an umbrella from the rack, and headed for the door.

Arianna let out a long breath, then pulled out her phone and texted Bruce. I told her everything. I think she’s going to forgive him.
