An unknown number of Gigaparsecs away from The Primordial Genesis Shore where Noah stood staring at a cage containing a THE level entity he would soon battle, in a vastly different region of Ginnungagap’s chaotic expanse, another scene was reaching its conclusion.
This region was filled with obsidian rivers of concentrated instability that would shred Pre-THE Existences into component particles within moments of contact.
Tor and THE Living Origin floated victoriously over the three Malformed Ginnu Lifeforms they had been fighting, their opponents now shockingly bound by chains of Hunger and Origin that wrapped around their malformed bodies with crushing authority.
Tor’s obsidian crimson chains pulsed with devouring intent, constantly attempting to consume the Existence of those they held. THE Living Origin’s white gold chains glowed with the principle of reduction, forcing the bound entities back toward their most fundamental state.
Even though these were Ginnu Lifeforms fully capable of using The First Tongue and were operating in Ginnungagap where they faced no suppression from Existence itself, they still had not been able to stand successfully against Tor and THE Living Origin.
Two entities who were actually experiencing a level of environmental suppression themselves due to not being native to this region.
It was genuinely terrifying to think about the power differential that had manifested.
Tor looked down at the bound Ginnu Lifeforms with eyes shining with hunger as he spoke with voice carrying predatory satisfaction.
"I want to eat them. Three whole Ginnu Lifeforms would be an absolutely magnificent feast. Do you have any idea how much my Hunger would grow from consuming entities this ancient and powerful?"
THE Living Origin sighed with exasperation as she replied with calm patience.
"You know you absolutely cannot eat them, you reckless thing. Eat them, and a THE Fundamental Depth of Absolute Sovereignty Ginnu Lifeform will be hunting us down with single-minded dedication. I will leave so very quickly if you actually try it. You can face that wrath alone."
Tor’s face twisted with annoyance as he responded with reluctant acceptance.
"Whatever. We will leave them bound here and continue on our search. Someone will find them eventually and release them once we are long gone from..."
In the middle of his reply, as he was casually talking, his expression suddenly changed dramatically.
His eyes widened as his gaze snapped toward one particular obsidian river passageway with alarm flashing across his features.
At that exact moment, brilliant purple obsidian light erupted from the river as a stream of concentrated temporal authority bloomed with overwhelming presence.
Someone stepped out from the river of time itself, their humanoid form burning and completely shrouded with terrifying purple obsidian flames that flickered with impossible patterns.
The entity’s face could barely be seen beneath the concentrated fire, only hints of features visible through the blazing energy.
They stood tall, perhaps seven feet in height, with a build that suggested both power and elegant refinement. The purple obsidian flames covering their body were not chaotic but moved with deliberate purpose, as if each flicker was precisely calculated.
What could be glimpsed of their face showed sharp, aristocratic features and eyes that burned with concentrated purple light. Those eyes held the weight of countless eras, the accumulated knowledge of someone who could observe time from outside its normal flow. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
The very space around this entity seemed to bend and warp, not from raw power but from temporal distortion. Past and future flickered around their form, creating afterimages that showed them in different positions simultaneously.
The moment they appeared, THE Living Origin spoke with unusual caution in her normally confident voice.
"Why are you here?"
The aflame being smiled while looking at her with a gaze of calmness, as if watching a slightly grown up child who still had much to learn.
When he spoke, his voice carried grand and imposing weight that resonated across multiple temporal frequencies.
"The better question is not why, dear Origin, but rather when. I will say that something quite interesting drew me here specifically to this point in time. Not to this location particularly, but to this precise moment in time. Fascinating, is it not?"
Something drew him here. At this point in time specifically.
The emphasis on temporal specificity instantly caused THE Living Origin and Tor to become somber as they could only think of one particular anomaly who had been traversing through time.
In the heavy silence that followed, THE Living Origin looked at this being with calculating focus as she spoke carefully.
"What do you mean something drew you to this time specifically? Have you not been existing in this time like the rest of us? Where have you been? No, the better question is when have you been?"
The entity filled with a terrifying Depth of power that had to be at minimum THE Fundamental Depth of Absolute Sovereignty looked at THE Living Origin calmly with that unsettling smile still fixed on his barely visible features.
His reply came with imposing weight.
"Time, Origin. Time is so critical for Existence that most entities fail to truly comprehend its significance. They experience it linearly, flowing from past to present to future like water running down a hill. They are trapped in the current, unable to see the river from above, unable to understand the full scope of what time actually represents."
"Many fail to realize that if someone held genuine sway over time itself, if they could move through its currents with the same freedom that you move through space, they could accomplish so much that would otherwise be completely impossible."
His purple flames intensified as he continued.
"I personally do not do too much with my capabilities. I observe, I maintain, I ensure certain boundaries are respected. But because I exist with this power, I prevent all others from being capable of violating Existence through temporal manipulation. I protect Existence to continue on as it should, maintaining the integrity of causality itself."
His smile grew slightly wider.
"If there was someone freely traversing through time who was not me, who was making changes or observations or interventions across the timeline, that would be quite problematic, would it not? It would suggest my fundamental role had been compromised somehow."
The faces of Tor and THE Living Origin became noticeably heavy as they watched this terrifying being, both of them thinking of the same individual who had been moving through time recently.
The aflame entity smiled once again and laughed with voice carrying strange mirth.
"Hey, why do you two look so guilty? Relax! You personally had nothing to do with any violation of time. Nobody has actually violated time’s integrity in any meaningful way. You both can relax your guard."
"Origin, since when did you become so strung up and nervous? Who is this new company you keep apart from THE Creature? You even stayed deliberately away from Paradox and the others recently, which I found curious. But no matter. What are you doing wandering around Ginnungagap at this time? Do you need help with something? I could assist if necessary."
THE Living Origin shook her head calmly as she replied with carefully measured words.
"Nope. We should be perfectly fine on our own, just strolling around while trying to learn more regarding The Origins of Existence itself. Ginnungagap is an excellent place for such research and exploration."
Tor’s eyes narrowed dangerously as this being simply nodded after a few seconds and spoke with casual finality.
"I see. Understood completely. If you ever need any help with your... research, I will be around these parts at this particular time. Just call out to me and I will appear. After all, we have to stick together in our little exclusive club, do we not? Those of us operating at this Scale must maintain certain bonds."
"Is that The Temporal fucker I’ve heard many THEs scared shitless of?"
THE Living Origin nodded as she replied with simple confirmation.
"Yes. He goes by many names across different eras and regions, but yes, I suppose Temporal fucker can certainly be counted as one of them."
At such words, Tor smiled widely as he spoke with teasing tone.
"Oh, the pristine Living Origin using such vulgar language? Am I actually rubbing off on you after all this time together?"
THE Living Origin’s calm reply carried her usual composed tone.
"The only thing you are rubbing off on me is your general distaste for caution and attraction to danger. Let us keep moving. The more time passes that we do not find him, the more precarious our entire situation becomes. And please try not to talk so much."
"The day I stop talking because some prude tells me to is the day I will collapse my own Hunger out of boredom. You just try to keep up with me."
With such words, THE First Hunger disappeared into the chaotic rivers with casual speed.
THE Living Origin followed calmly a moment later, leaving behind three bound Ginnu Lifeforms to be discovered eventually.
