Axioms had to be truly terrifying things.
Just a Fragment of THE Axiom of Mayhem allowed for one to lower the Depth of another, and this alone was a capability that could reshape the outcome of any battle, but what did the other Fragments that completed the entire Axiom do? What capabilities lay dormant in the pieces he had not yet obtained? And what could one do with an entire Axiom of Mayhem fully assembled and bent to one’s will?
Noah had such thoughts racing through his mind as he put all his weight on activating a mere Fragment, and even then the process felt impossible, like trying to lift a mountain with hands that were already trembling from exertion.
But something occurred soon after which allowed him to feel a load taken off his shoulders, a weight that had been pressing down upon his reserves suddenly vanishing as if it had never existed.
Thesis Actualization Complete
Your Thesis "Within Muspelheim, only those to whom I grant permission may draw power from The First Tongue" has gone unchallenged.
Challenge Window: Expired. No entity attempted dialectic debate against your proposition.
Status: Actualized. Your Thesis has solidified into local truth within its coverage area.
Previous Maintenance Cost: 67% of available immensity required for active maintenance.
Current Maintenance Cost: 0%. The Thesis now maintains itself as an accepted truth of this region.
Congratulations, Master. You proposed that you should control who gets to speak reality’s oldest language, and Existence examined your proposition, found no one willing to argue against it, and shrugged in acceptance.
Your immensity and weight are now fully available for other applications.
...!
The moment such a thing occurred, Noah felt his existence pulse with weight and immensity once more as reserves that had been committed to maintaining his Thesis flooded back into his core, filling him with power that had been unavailable just moments before.
He looked at the marble spinning in his grasp, and his eyes shone with blue-gold brilliance as he spoke words that carried the weight of someone who had laid claim to The First Tongue itself.
"The First Tongue commands you, little marble. Don’t believe yourself grander than it."
HUUUUM!
The moment such words boomed out across the burning landscape of Muspelheim, his immensity of THE Formless Depth surged outward and exerted itself onto the Fragment with authority that sought no resistance, and the marble that had been demanding tribute as if it were the superior force began to spin with a crimson obsidian glow that spoke of activation rather than negotiation!
Above, THE Living Spirit looked down with coldness!
And then the light of the Fragment of THE Axiom of Mayhem flashed out far faster than Planck speed and permeated across this entire region of Muspelheim with inevitability that could not be dodged or blocked or denied!
Noah’s existence began to buzz with sensations that straddled the line between agony and ecstasy, his body trying to lift from the crater he had been thrown into as if gravity itself had decided to reconsider its earlier judgment!
His eyes met THE Living Spirit’s countless gazes, and he smiled with the calm confidence of someone who had always wanted to test himself against such a being and was finally getting his chance.
"I have heard many legends about you. Stories of The Earliest Folds..."
His voice carried across the burning skies, reaching not just THE Living Spirit but his armies and his subordinates and the Muspeli Lifeforms who watched from their positions.
"I always wondered about your fate, and the fate of THE Living Dimensional, THE Living Quantum, THE Living Concept, and even THE Living Temporal." He tilted his head, studying the massive entity before him with genuine curiosity. "Did they stand with THE Creature, or THE Living Paradox? Seeing you moving out here like this all safe and sound... does that mean that you bent the knee to Paradox?"
He broke free from the constraints and floated higher, his robes of crystallized starlight billowing around him as the Fragment of THE Axiom of Mayhem continued to pulse with crimson obsidian light in his grasp!
"Is the grand Living Spirit moving under his command? Were you told to come here to Muspelheim under the orders of THE Living Paradox? Are there others like you here? Quantum? Concept? That bum fucker Elemental? "
His smile widened, and there was something almost predatory in it now, the expression of someone who had found prey worthy of the hunt.
"You see, I have so many questions, and I don’t think that you are one to give answers freely. So I will take it upon myself today to see if a legend can be cracked, to see if the entities that I used to only hear legends about can be brought low."
He raised his hand, and the Fragment pulsed in response as if eager to demonstrate its capabilities.
"Tell me, O Living Spirit... do you bleed?"
...!
THE Living Spirit looked down at this entity who dared to speak to him in such a manner, this being whose Depth should have made him nothing more than an insect to be crushed, and his countless faces twisted with burning lividity that made the eternal flames of Muspelheim seem cold by comparison.
