All returned to silence, with only the violent sound of rain continuing to rage.
The twin-tailed girl gathered her gaze and kept walking forward.
She passed through a small alley, turned around a ruin, and finally arrived before a wilderness.
The rain here was much lighter than in the city, yet still fiercely intense.
The twin-tailed girl’s gaze wandered as she stood silently for a moment, then stepped into the wilderness.
The surroundings were pitch black, and the swaying trees in the wind and rain appeared particularly eerie on such a stormy night.
Without stopping, the twin-tailed girl quickly passed through a large area of jungle, reaching a large tree in the heart of the wilderness.
This tree, with its thick foliage, blocked much of the rain, so the ground beneath it was not so wet.
In the corner of this clearing stood a small tombstone.
Upon seeing this tombstone, a look of sadness appeared in the twin-tailed girl’s eyes, and then she slowly walked towards it.
"Brother, I’ve come to see you again!"
The wind and rain continued, and a distant roll of thunder sounded on the horizon, quickly sweeping across the sky.
Crack!
A sharp flash lit up the world, illuminating the twin-tailed girl’s face covered in tears.
In this world of fierce wind and bitter rain, the solitary figure by the grave appeared extraordinarily desolate.
The twin-tailed girl gazed quietly, crouched slowly, gently touched the small tombstone, and leaned her head against it.
"Brother, I am so tired! Really so tired!"
As she spoke, the twin-tailed girl began to softly sob.
Soon, the sound of crying grew louder, eventually turning into wailing.
However, this cry was quickly swallowed by the violent sound of rain.
For a long time.
After this almost cathartic crying, the twin-tailed girl gradually stopped crying and gently kissed the tombstone.
"Brother, you are the only one I can truly speak my heart to! Thank you!"
With that, she slowly stood up, raised her hand to pluck the increasingly scarlet flower from her chest, and placed it on the tombstone.
The flower swayed lightly then timidly lowered its head, gradually dimming.
The twin-tailed girl took a deep breath, "Brother, I have some little troubles outside to deal with! Next year, I’ll visit you again!"
With those words, she turned around, the previous weakness and sorrow vanished instantly, replaced by a face filled with icy resolve and murderous intent.
"Come out, all of you! It’s impressive you found this place in such heavy rain!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
As her voice rang out, shadows began to appear in the endless wilderness.
Crack!
Just at that moment, another sharp flash split the sky.
The blinding light illuminated the figures appearing in the wilderness, each dressed in thick raincoats, their faces hidden in shadow, but on their chests was an emblem of a falling star.
In such a stormy night, the sudden appearance of such a silent group seemed as if demons had crawled out of hell.
The twin-tailed girl’s expression turned cold, "Xing Luodao! Ha, I never thought, to deal with me alone, Xing Luodao would send so many people; truly an elaborate deployment!"
A strange cackle came from behind the crowd, "Naturally, the Sect Master of The Flower of Extreme Evil is worthy of such a spectacle!"
