Grayson
It had taken me a while to find Tiffany and she didn’t even pick up my calls or return my messages. It turns out she had locked herself in one of the bathrooms just so she wouldn’t show her face to everyone else while she was still furious.
“What were you going to do up there when you picked out Harp and Kate?” I spoke over the music as I had her in a corner.
She rolled her eyes. “Don’t tell me I have to deal with this after that shit with Maddox.”
At first, I thought it was just because of how he had dragged her away, but the way she breathed hard told me there was more to it.
“What happened between you two?”
“I’ve done nothing but be a good sister to him and he wants to act like I ever begged to be in his life? He’s still mad about what mom and I did to him. Who holds a grudge that fucking long? He’s always just looked for a reason to push me away. Like I give a shit.”
Tiffany never took accountability for what she had done and while I wasn’t fond of Maddox, especially after he slept with Harper, even I would’ve felt the same way had I experienced something like that at the hands of her and her mother.
“Turns out Harper slept with him again. Did you know?”
I shrugged, swallowing hard. “There’s no way it happened a second time. She didn’t tell me anything.”
She sneered. “Of course she didn’t tell you. How could she when she doesn’t want you to know that she’s really a slut? But fuck that. I’m done meddling in his fucking life. We’re leaving right now. I just need to find Kate. Where the hell is she?”
“She wasn’t where I left her when I came back inside. I needed a moment away from all this noise.”
“Ugh! She’s not even replying to my texts and…”
She trailed off, making me wonder what was going on with her. I followed her gaze and to my surprise, Maddox was with Harper, holding her close while they sat together and he poured her a drink for everyone to see. I was wrong to think I’d never see them like that again.
My gaze then shifted back to Tiffany when she held my hand and said. “Dance with me.”
“What?” I furrowed my eyebrows.
Wasn’t she the one who just wanted to leave? I soon realized she hadn’t had her moment up there when the mic was cut and yanked from her. She still had a score to settle with Harper and all it was going to take was to show me off. I knew it better than anyone that it would get to Harper.
It also pissed me off to see her with Maddox after everything that had happened that night.
Tiffany led me through the crowd while already dancing and I followed her with no protest. I loved watching her sway her hips to the music. She found what she thought was a perfect spot, then began dancing up on me. My hands were instantly all over her and I even kissed her.
She giggled, wrapping her arms around my neck before running one hand down my chest. She might have wanted to do this to get back at Harper, but she was getting me too excited and I had to keep myself under control in front of everyone.
I forgot about Harper for a while as I couldn’t look away from my sexy wife dancing up on me. It was the cheering that made me look over and to my surprise, Maddox’s hands were all over her as they danced.
