Grayson’s jaw dropped before smiling through the shock. “You–you’re pregnant?”
Tiffany nodded, placing her hands on his chest with soft sobs. “Yes, we’re going to have a baby.”
He chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead like she was the most precious thing in the world.
They spoke to each other in hushed and loving tones about a beautiful future together and I watched as my proof burned uselessly in his hand since he still had my phone.
He didn’t even look at me when they broke the hug and he wrapped his arm around her waist to walk her back to the passenger seat.
After opening and closing the door for her like a perfect gentleman, he began to make his way back to me, but he wasn’t even my focus.
She rolled down the window and poked her head out with a faint triumphant smile that only I could see.
I should have told him to look back and see what was going on with her, but what difference was that going to make?
It was only when he was right in front of me that I focused on him, his forehead veins popping out
As he handed me back my phone, he looked to the side before I could even take it. He made me feel like the sight of me was disgusting.
I reached for my phone to take it from him but he set it free before I even had a firm grip, like he wasn’t going to give a fuck if it dropped to the ground and broke.
I caught it quickly as a reflex, then scoffed as I looked down at the screen, a tear now running down my cheek.
“Oh, now you’re going to cry?” He mocked me in a harsh tone. “Just because your plan backfired? My wife decided to put aside her revenge just so we could all start over and here you are, not willing to let it go.”
“You really chose not to believe me, not that it’s anything new.” My voice was quiet, like I was still processing everything.
“What’s there to believe when you faked it all?”
“You know what’s so fucked up?” I sniffled as I wiped my tear. “You only dismissed my proof, calling it fake even after seeing Josh’s face, but you didn’t do the same when it came to the proof of me stalking her. How is that even fair?”
“Now you’re just pissing me off even more. Still trying to make me believe that what you have here is real?”
I chuckled.
“Now this is funny to you?” He scowled.
“I was there. I saw it so how can it not be funny when I just figured out what’s going on? You’ve just decided to be blind to the truth. Anyone can see that I’m not lying. The day will come when you’ll see the truth with your own eyes. Don’t say I didn’t w-”
“Just shut up!” He snapped, getting closer to yell in my face. “Haven’t you already done enough? You know what? It was my mistake for letting us get close again. I should have kept things as they were when you returned to town!”
His words broke me so hard that I was about to burst into tears, not because he was mad at me, but because he still chose to keep being with Tiffany despite everything I had told him.
“You know what?” I sniffled.
