Kicked Out I Unlocked My Ultimate Boss Mode novel Chapter 24

**Broken Doesn’t Mean End**
By M. Kaushik

**Chapter 24: I’m Going Out With Some Friends**

A look of concern washed over her face as she contemplated the implications of Helen’s return. “Now that Helen’s back home, if word gets out that she didn’t even finish high school, it’ll be so embarrassing for Mom and Dad,” she thought, her heart racing at the potential fallout.

The Walcotts had always held education and achievement in the highest regard, almost as sacred tenets. Each of the three Walcott sons, along with her, was expected to excel, to shine brightly in a world that demanded perfection. They had been raised in an environment where grades were not just numbers but reflections of their worth.

She couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for Helen. Alexander and Rebecca, with their polished backgrounds and refined expectations, would surely never welcome a girl like Helen—a girl who lacked even the most basic of diplomas.

“Speaking of which… Helen, do you have any desire to continue your studies?” Alexander’s voice broke through her thoughts, filled with genuine concern rather than the superficiality that often surrounded their family discussions. “If you do, just let Dad know which school you’re interested in. I’ll take care of everything.”

His offer hung in the air, a lifeline thrown to Helen. Now that she was back, the upcoming homecoming party would draw attention to her, placing her directly in the spotlight.

With the Walcotts’ reputation at stake, people would undoubtedly delve into her past—each inquiry driven by their own motives, some curious, others malicious. While degrees weren’t the sole currency in their social circle, Helen would face an uphill battle without one.

Alexander’s heart ached at the thought of his daughter being ridiculed behind her back. He wanted nothing more than to shield her from such humiliation, to safeguard her dignity. Ultimately, the decision was Helen’s to make.

If she chose to return to school, he would move mountains to ensure her success. And if she didn’t? Then he would make certain that no one dared to mock his daughter for her choices.

Helen, however, was no fool. She could see right through Wendy’s insidious little games. Not a single one of Wendy’s veiled warnings had penetrated Helen’s resolve.

With a slow, confident smirk, Helen turned her gaze toward Wendy, her expression icy and unreadable.

Wendy felt a chill run down her spine, her voice trembling as she stammered, “H-Helen… I swear I didn’t mean anything by it, I just…”

“Oh, I know you didn’t mean anything,” Helen replied, her tone flat yet piercing. “You simply wanted to highlight that I dropped out before finishing high school, all to elevate your own grades and make yourself look superior.”

She paused, her lips curling into a mocking smile that sent a shiver down Wendy’s spine. “Do you want me to worship you, or are you hoping I’ll be so ashamed that I’ll just disappear from this house?”

Her words sliced through the air, illuminating Wendy’s intentions with brutal clarity.

Wendy’s complexion drained of color, shock and embarrassment washing over her. She had never anticipated that Helen would so boldly expose her pretenses in front of their family.

Flustered, Wendy leaped to her feet, desperately trying to justify herself. “No, it’s not like that! How could you even think that of me? I genuinely care about you, about our family. I’m really trying to help!”

“That’s not necessary,” Helen replied, her voice laced with indifference. She glanced at her phone, which buzzed insistently, signaling her impending freedom.
