Chapter 244
“Lenny, how’s your leg? Does the part with the fracture still hurt?” Sebastian hadn’t seen Selena for more than six months,
and he missed her dearly.
However, he was also afraid that his intense emotions might end up scaring Selena instead.
“It doesn’t hurt. Mr. Grant, it feels like I haven’t seen you in so long!” Selena exclaimed as she spun around in a circle to prove that her leg was fine.
They had not met for six months, and it seemed Selena had grown a tad bit taller.
Sebastian crouched down to level their gaze. “Lenny, did you miss me?”
“I did miss you.”
“You can call me next time.” Sebastian had noticed that Lenny was wearing a smart watch on her wrist, but it wasn’t the one he had given her as her New Year’s present.
Selena stuck her tongue out. “I forgot to save your number in my new watch.”
So, Sebastian keyed in his number one more time.
Selena watched and said, “I’ve already memorized it.”
“Is that true? Why don’t you repeat it out loud for me?” Sebastian said as he stroked Selena’s cheek gently while joy flooded his gaze.
Selena repeated his number, and Sebastian’s hand which had been stroking Selena’s cheek couldn’t help but tremble.
“Lenny, it’s time for us to go back. Your great–uncle will stay and watch over Margaret,” Shane said as he met Sebastian’s
gaze.
Shena gently placed his hand on Selena’s shoulders and added, “Let’s go.

“Alright. Goodbye, Mr. Grant,” Selena said as she waved Sebastian goodbye.
Sebastian got up, his gaze turning cold. His voice was hoarse as he said flatly, “Shane, let’s have a talk.”
There was a Dispute Resolution Room at Amstead Hospital. It was originally used to handle disputes between doctors and their patients, but the place was now occupied by two men.
The air between them was filled with gunpowder, but most of it was coming from Sebastian.

Shane read through the agreement Sebastian had handed to him and smiled.
“An annual salary of three million dollars, a house in Aloport’s Beverly Bay, and the position of vice director at a research department… Mr. Grant, it seems like you’ve thought too highly of me,” Shane said.
“All you need to do is bring up a divorce with Valeria and go your separate ways peacefully,” Sebastian explained as he looked
out the window.
Selena was standing on her tiptoes as she queued up at a smoothie shop. The sun shone on her, leaving her cheeks red and sweaty.
As he spoke, his eyes never left Selena.
Sebastian just glanced at Shane for a short moment before he added, “You can name whatever you want.”
“Mr. Grant, I’m not the main obstacle that’s standing in between your way of being with Valeria,” Shane said.
