After taking a deep breath, Simeon suppressed the anger burning within him as his eyes gleamed with murderous intent. He muttered to himself, "Just you wait, Severin! I'm going to locate the Wicked Tribe's disciples!"
Simeon had two primary objectives in entering the Starry Sky Battlespace. One was to seek opportunities for treasures, and the other was to locate the disciples of the Wicked Tribe. He knew Severin possessed the skills of the Wicked Tribe and the Chaotic Evil Practitioner's Arm—two treasures whose value was high enough that any outsiders found possessing them would undoubtedly be hunted down.
Since entering the Starry Sky Battlespace, Simeon had been scouring for information on the Wicked Tribe, hoping to forge an alliance and eliminate Severin. Damian's death reinforced his understanding that dealing with Severin alone—or even with Karl—would be a formidable challenge. He casted one last resentful glance at the Merak and turned to leave.
At the same time, the rest of the observant prodigies no longer dared to linger any further. Though they desired the exceptional spiritual treasures in Severin's possession and the rewards promised by the dragonoids, Damian's demise gave them a harsh reality check. Severin's aura might be rather unstable then, but no one dared to act rashly.
As they left, news of Severin slaying Damian spread swiftly throughout the Starry Sky Battlespace.
Damian held higher status and strength compared to Halbert and Gerry, which was why his unexpected demise sent such shockwaves throughout the three major planets.
"Not even the sacred lands' paragon heirs are able to leapfrog across two levels!"
Drake lit up with joy upon seeing that the message was from the two practitioners who had followed Damian to the Big Dipper. Leigh and several other monsteroid prodigies asked, "It is about Damian?"
He was just about to respond, but his expression darkened abruptly when he finally read the message. A momentary confusion clouded his features, for the message had revealed the mission's failure and Damian's demise.
Disbelief wat etched across his face as he finally processed the news. "Damian is dead!"
