Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2813

"Severin!" Diane and the other girls bore concerned expressions as they immediately rushed over to him. Diane immediately used her mana to support him before he fell to the ground.

She and the other women had looks of distress as they gazed on the blood-covered, mutilated Severin. Horra self-destructive act happened so suddenly and so quickly that it took everyone by surprise.

A half-immortal self-destructive force was stronger than any level nine supreme paragon could imagine. It shattered a space within a radius of five thousand miles.

Even Adrian's presence was not enough to withstand the formidable shockwaves that resulted from it. At that moment, Adrian's blue robe was torn into strips, while his skin was scorched and blackened by the hot air waves. One of his arms was broken, with the white bone piercing through flesh and blood. Compared to the strength of an all-powerful half-immortal powerhouse that he had projected earlier, his aura seemed to have dwindled and nearly dropped down to the attainment of a level nine supreme paragon.

Adrian wiped the blood from his lips and turned around to look at the collapsed Severin. He quickly braced himself and darted over. When he saw that Severin had suffered such serious injuries, he felt as if the embers of life were as fragile as a candle being blown by a strong wind.

"Are you okay, Severin?" Adrian asked, worried.

Severin had been rescued just in time by Diane, and he replied wittily, "All good. I'm not dead yet."

He had earlier thought that he could make a breakthrough to level five supreme paragon and survive the with the help of his level-five protective divine weapon, but he had been at a direct disadvantage right from the outset of the battle. Were it not for the Green Emperor's Pagoda who appeared just in time to rescue him, he might have joined the many dead souls within the Thousand-Soul Flag. That gave Severin the realization that a vast gap still existed between himself and a half-immortal.

Severin glanced at the five thousand-mile radius of carnage that Horra's death had produced. There was cracked earth spewing magma and countless elements, coupled with the chaotic energy pouring from the cracks in the broken void. Severin clenched his fists in determination and thought to himself, 'I will forever to be a weakling if I don't become an immortal!'

It was an idea rooted in an obsessive quest for success.
