Severin suppressed his thoughts calmly and looked his wives' worried faces. "Relax. I'm still alive and kicking."
His lighthearted remark managed to ease the women's worries, and they immediately burst into laughter.
Adrian laughed too, and all the gloom on his face seemed to disappear. He then chastised, "Still in the mood for some jokes, I see!" He returned the Oculus Blade to Severin, and fired a shot of vitality-infused mana into Severin's body.
In an instant, Severin could feel the mana entering his body and healing his injuries. Overjoyed, he quickly took out several healing pills from his spatial ring and ate them. The pills were digested into pure alchemical power and nourished his whole body, thus mending the gaping wounds at a speed visible to the naked eye.
At the same time, he also quickly used the only remaining law of creation in his inner world to repair his body. This power of creation was regarded—quite rightly—as the primogenitor for the essence of life in the entire world. As the rule flowed in, Severin managed to recover to his former state.
It took less than several seconds for his wounds to be healed and scabbed. The energy and blood flowing out from his energy core rejuvenated his entire body, reorganized his shattered meridians, and repaired the cellular universe.
From the outside, Severin seemed to be covered in a blood-colored armor, and there was even smoke billowing from his body. His initially stagnant aura gradually began to stabilize and recover its strength.
However, a spatial passage appeared just as he was about to take the pagoda back. Adrian was on high alert and prepared to face a formidable enemy.
"You're still alive?" exclaimed the figure that walked out of the void. Dressed in a bright yellow robe and exuding a rather faint black energy, he was taken aback when he saw Severin still alive and well.
The person was none other than 'Baldwin', the sect leader of the Primordial Sacred Land, and the clone of the Ancestora who had been sealed in the ancestral land. Baldwin had gone there to devour Horra's blood and essence, but he was left incredibly disappointed when he discovered that Horra had actually self-destructed and left not a single trace of his essence or blood. He then traversed further into the spatial passage to see if he was able to encounter any other opportunities, but that soon led him to where Adrian and Severin were.
