Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2815

Baldwin cursed silently to himself. He had initially thought that Horra's act of self-destruction would leave behind a lot of essence and blood. Should he succeed in absorbing it, then he would be able to break free of his seal. However, the outcome was not as he expected, as Horra's self-destruction had all but reduced his essence and blood to nothing.

At the spur of the moment, Baldwin decided to change his strategy in the hopes that Severin and the others would either perish or suffer serious injuries if they survived. He had hoped to end their lives covertly, as breaking free would be within reach if he managed to devour a half-immortal like Adrian.

Yet Baldwin was taken by surprise when Adrian not only survived, but suffered only minor injuries. Baldwin felt a sudden chill down his spine as he emerged from the void and saw that he was stepping right into the palm of a formidable foe.

"Ah, a visitor from the Primordial Sacred Land," Adrian declared coldly, with his eyes fixed on Baldwin as he produced his level-three protective divine weapon—the Emerald Blade. The aura emanating from the weapon loomed over Baldwin and made him paralyzed in fear.

Even though Baldwin had used the Rules of Celestial Demons to produce a clone, its power had unfortunately reached the level of only a level nine supreme paragon. There still existed a huge gap between him and the abilities of a half-immortal.

Despite Adrian's current injuries, Baldwin could not tell for sure what Adrian might do if the latter was forced into retaliating. Baldwin did not dare to risk anything. He had meticulously sent this clone to gather energy and blood for his true self and break the seal, not to engage in life-or-death battles with others.

Baldwin glanced cautiously at Adrian, whose smile seemed to alleviate the tension in the atmosphere. "You are as strong as ever, Adrian. Ending Horra's life was quite the feat."

The booming voice shook the heavens and earth, even causing time and space to collapse and shatter. Before long, a murderous Grenn emerged from the void. Bathed in the terrifying divine light of rules and an immortal radiance, Grenn resembled a malevolent god emerging from the depths of chaos.

Grenn and Horra were powerful devils and close friends. They were more or less friendly rivals whose dream was to see who would become immortals in the golden age. The events that culminated in Horra's self-destruction that day had alarmed many of the half-immortal beings in Bleurealm. No one expected that even a half-immortal would perish after joining the fray.

Though Grenn and Horra were friends, the former knew that there was no better time than to eliminate Adrian. The devils had a clear purpose—gaining more resources and devouring more blood. Their so-called cooperation with the Primordial Sacred Land was merely a facade driven by those malevolent intentions. Even Baldwin's ancestor god clone was treated as nothing more than a copy of the real deal.
