Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2864

Severin's face paled, and he nearly lost his voice as he mumbled, "Has a half-immortal fallen?!"

Severin has witnessed such an occurrence twice already! The first was when the half-immortal Darius—elder of the dragonoids—plummeted into the Eastern Sea to his death. The world quaked then. The second was when the confrontation with Horra on Northsea's grassland, where Horra's self-explosion unleashed such cataclysmic power that the entire Bleurealm seemed to change drastically in response. With the blood rain making yet another appearance, there was little doubt that another half-immortal had met their demise.

Shock was etched across Severin's face as he pondered the events unfolding beyond his immediate surroundings. Despite his stature as a seventh-level supreme paragon, he remained neither omniscient nor omnipotent. He composed himself and retreated into quiet contemplation while sipping his spiritual tea.

He knew that news of the perished half-immortal's identity would eventually reach him if he waited patiently within the sect for a day or two.

That afternoon, however, the dark clouds that had previously dispersed once again blanketed the sky and obscured the sun. A sudden shift in the surroundings occurred, heralding the arrival of crimson lightning that raged across the heavens like the wrath of divinity. The space seemed to collapse along the lightning's trajectory, and vast swathes of chaotic energy emanating from those torn fissures.

The world was in lament, and the blood rain persisted. The harrowing spectacle sent shivers down Severin's spine. "Did another half-immortal die?"

All of a sudden, another series of strange phenomena unfolded, serving as the only tangible evidence that another half-immortal had passed on in such a short time. Even Severin, calm as he was, found himself stunned by the turn of events.

Just as he was about to extend his divine sensed beyond the reach of the outside world, Amethyst's urgent sounding voice resonated in his ears. "Come over to the hall right now!" came the anxious request, prompting Severin to spring into action. He tore through the void and vanished immediately from where he was.

Moments later, Severin appeared in the hall through a spatial passage. When he looked up and saw the figures assembled before him, his pupils contracted slightly.

Severin understood that the Primordial Sacred Land's conquest of Eastplain would be hard to fend off with Grandiuno Sacred Land's strength alone.

Overwhelmed by grief and anger, Kugen rose from his seat and saluted. "Severin… The Primordial Sacred Land's Xavier employed the most heinous means to devour our elder alive. The method he used was a mark of the devilish and demonic! Please save my family. I'm begging you."

Moved by Kugen's distress, Severin swiftly offered reassurance. "Take a deep breath. I need you to provide me with all the details."

Kugen choked with emotion and proceeded to recount the events. "Xavier showed up at our ancestral land alongside forces from the Primordial Sacred Land and immediately started slaughtering our people. I don't know how, but his powers surged high, and he was suffused with boundless demonic energy. Our family's half-immortality... he…"
