Even though the power within the jade charm had waned over tens of thousands of years, it still proved formidable against several level nine supreme paragons. Even a half-immortal's approach would leave the battlefield gravely injured by the charm.
Previously, Grenn had opted not to bring it on his journey to Midland as he wanted his sacred land to have a weapon that could be used when confronting adversaries. With the Grandiuno Sacred Land retaliating against Cesun and causing the demise of the Wicked Tribe, the Darkness Sacred Land had no choice but to face a grim reality.
As the deviant practitioners from the Wicked Tribe neared White Bone Mountain, the once jubilant atmosphere was stifled by an icy tenseness.
Carson's expression sank dramatically when he recognized them. "The Darkness Sacred Land has arrived!"
Standing on the bow of the airship, Severin reassured, "There's no need to be afraid. They have only ten or so supreme paragons. So long as Grenn doesn't show up, we will be able to deal with the ones before us."
Behind him, Willette, Heath, Hepman, and several others immediately assumed a battle stance. Their mana began to surge, and they were prepared to engage the devils.
Severin advanced with the wind beneath his feet and elevated himself above the white clouds. At the same time, his Oculus Blade resonated with swordwill and emanated a formidable fighting spirit. With a swift motion, he unleashed a ferocious sword beam that sliced through the void and changed the terrain around him. The slash carried an unprecedented killing intent and was directed toward the spatial passage that Zione and his allies had just emerged from.
Severin then condensed the essence of the five elements and used the Five Elements Mudra to withstand the attack. A deafening explosion was heard, and the ensuing elemental onslaught destroyed the ground beneath him. Nearly half of the once imposing White Bone Mountain had been turned into rubble, leaving only a small fraction of its former stature.
"Attack!" Carson and his comrades joined the fray at the sight of Severin's first move, unleashing their own spiritual treasures as they transformed into streaks of light and engaged the demonic practitioners in aerial combat. Explosions abounded, and it did not take long for the sky to be filled with sparks. Following the loud clangs of battle, shockwaves radiated from the center causing the earth to crack as magma spewed forth several meters high.
Meanwhile, Zione found himself taking the battle more seriously after exchanging several blows with Severin. He was left in awe as the battle drew on, as Severin's strength rivalled that of the elite level nine supreme paragons despite being one level lower. None of Zione's moved managed to land a hit on Severin, as the latter maintained the upper hand rather effortlessly.
