Chapter 121 The Challenge

Alayah’s p.o.v.

When Bastian had shown me the email he had sent to Elder Mathass, I had thought he had gone mad. Looking at the room right now, I know he made the right call. None of the High- ranking Wolves and Lycans can walk out and I am well protected with my mates and my leadership by my side.

“I am the rightful Alpha of Blood Stone Pack and none of you can change that, the Alpha Ceremony already took place over a year ago. If you think you have a claim to the title or if you think you can do a better job, you can challenge me to a fight. I have to warn you though, it will be a fight to the death and your Pack will belong to me once we are done.” I say.

Most Alphas, every Beta and Gamma start to shake their heads, none of them willing to lose their lives or their Pack. Only two Alphas keep looking at me as if they are contemplating a challenge and within seconds both of them stand up, “I challenge you for the Alpha title of Blood Stone Pack.” They say in unison.

“Accepted, training grounds in an hour. I say. I am not done with this crowd yet and I plan on speaking my mind.

“You are all against the true Mate–bond I have and each of you is using the sibling card. My Mother did not give birth to Noah, Nathan, Nikolay and Nero, there for there is no blood bond between us. Law states that as long as there is no blood bond between a couple, no one can stop them from forming a Mate–bond.

If their other half agrees with the Mate–bond, it becomes a true Mate–bond and no one is to mess with that. You have no grounds to be against our Mate–bond and if I find out who has been spreading lies about me and my Mates, that person will pay the ultimate price.” I say as I look at everyone gathered in the meeting room.

“I know that many of you believe that Stepsiblings shouldn’t be allowed to have a Mate–bond and that it is against the wishes of our Goddess. The only reason you have a problem with it, has to do with your narrowminded upbringing. I am not related to my Mates in any way and our Lycans all agreed with the connection, with the Mate–bond we formed.

If you don’t like the fact that I am mated to four males I share no blood with, than that is your problem and I suggest you learn to deal with it. I am done trying to explain this to anyone and if you can’t deal with it, than I suggest that you STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM US.” I roar the last part of my sentence to send out the message that I am truly done with narrowminded Fools.

“The Alphas that challenged me will stay here in the meeting room with their leadership, the rest of you can leave now. You can go home or you can stay for the challenge.” I say before I turn to the Elders. “Thank you for all you did to make this happen. Please tell the staff I

I walk to the table at my right side and sit down in a chair. I close my eyes to prepare for the two challenges that lie ahead of me, my Mates standing around me but not touching me. My leadership forms a circle around the five of us and I just sit there for a while, slowly breathing in and out.

“Princess, it is time to head to the training grounds.” I hear Nero whisper next to my ear and I slowly open my eyes to see the two Alphas staring daggers at me. I knew they wouldn’t like to sit around doing nothing before a fight, but I didn’t want them to try and talk to one another to plot against me.

I look at the door to see an Elder staring at me with a smile on his face, the only Wolf that is still alive from the original Council of Elders and the only one that has seen my ancestor that founded Blood Stone Pack to be what it is once again. “Elder Boaz, it is an honor to meet you.” I say as I hold out my hand.

He grabs my hand to shake it and says, “The honor is all mine, Alpha Alayah. You are the spitting image of the Alpha that founded Blood Stone Pack, even though I have to say that you are much easier on the eyes.”

I offer Elder Boaz my arm as Elder Mathass opens the door and we all follow him out to the training grounds. I look at the grounds in front of me, but I don’t see anyone there. “The challenges will take place in the Arena, it is to make sure that no one can come to anyone’s aid.” Elder Boaz says as he guides us to the left.

At the entrance I kiss my Mates, before I follow Elder Mathass inside with the two Alphas right next to me. Elder Aimi is there to guide one of the Alphas to a caged area, they have made sure no one can butt in when they built the Arena.

“This is a fight to the death, the Pack belonging to the loser will go to the winner.” Alpha Mathass says before he steps behind a gate and locks it the moment he has closed it. Topaz is coming to the surface, we will wait to see what our opponent does and then we will answer swiftly.

My first opponent is an arrogant Asshole, his Wolf is close to the surface and they lunge for me the moment I shift my weight. I roll out of the way of his attack and quickly turn around to face him again. He has some trouble to keep his balance, when he turns towards me again and it makes him miss me as he jumps towards me in Wolf form.

I hear gasps and murmurs around me, the moment I hand over control to Topaz. Her height is huge in comparison to the Alpha Wolf and I hear her chuckle as I lean back in the back of her mind. The Alpha Wolf snarls at her, just before he tries to bite down on her side.

All he manages to do is clamp his jaws down on some air, because Topaz rolled out of his way and he yelps as she manages to bite down on his hindleg. For every attempt he makes at wounding Topaz, she actually manages to wound him and it is clear that he is becoming
