Love Times Four My Stepbrothers Are My Mates (Alayah) novel Chapter 83

**When Broken Stars Drift Across Empty Midnight Skies by Troy Mason Venn 83**

**Chapter 83**

**Nathan’s Perspective**

As the weight of responsibility settled heavily on Nathan’s shoulders, he meticulously detailed the strategic maneuvers designed to shield the Alpha family from the imminent threats lurking in the shadows. “The plan is straightforward,” he explained, his voice steady despite the urgency of the situation. “The Gamma family will escort the Alpha back to the residence and remain there until we receive the all-clear signal. Meanwhile, the Beta family will be relocated to a secure location for their safety. It’s crucial that we keep them protected, as they may need to step in should anything happen to the Alpha family.”

He continued, his gaze scanning the room, “Warriors will be stationed at various strategic points around the Pack-house, while other members will take positions inside. Every available warrior will be deployed to the borders, ensuring that we cover every inch—not just the area currently under threat. We will fight until every enemy is neutralized. Only then, once our Deltas declare the coast is clear, will we allow the Alpha and Beta families to emerge from their hiding spots.” Bryson’s voice broke through the tension, echoing Nathan’s resolute determination.

Alayah, absorbing the gravity of the situation, felt a mix of admiration and concern. “It’s clever to keep the Alpha family hidden,” she remarked, her brow furrowing slightly. “After all, the Beta has just as much knowledge of the Pack and its members as the Alpha does. They’re essential if the Alpha is incapacitated for any reason.” As they strolled through the expansive halls of the Pack-house, Nathan felt a sense of confidence in his ability to navigate the labyrinthine structure, thanks to Bryson’s detailed instructions.

The main hallways formed a continuous loop around each floor, ensuring that Nathan could always find his way back to the staircase leading to the Alpha residence. However, as they approached the main lobby once more, a low growl escaped him at the sight of a woman in a provocative dress casually leaning against the wall. The moment her gaze landed on Noah, Nathan sensed trouble brewing.

“Hi there, I’m Bree,” she purred, stepping closer to Noah with a flirtatious smile. “I thought you might appreciate a break from your siblings and spend some time with a real female.” Alayah’s protective instincts flared, and she shot a glance at Noah, fully aware that Bree was crossing a line. “Damn, Noah,” she quipped, hands on her hips, “I thought you left your blow-up doll at home.” The laughter that erupted from their group was infectious, but Nathan noticed the glimmer of mischief in Noah’s eyes.

“Princess, what on earth would I need a blow-up doll for when I have you?” Noah retorted, pulling Alayah from Nathan’s embrace and kissing her deeply. Bree’s expression shifted from surprise to indignation as she glanced from Noah to Alayah. “Do you always let your Alpha kiss your Mate?” she asked, bewildered. Just then, Nikolay tapped Noah on the shoulder, and as Noah broke the kiss, Nikolay swooped in to plant a kiss on Alayah, leaving Bree gasping in disbelief.

Nero and Nathan decided to add to Bree’s confusion by kissing her as well, eliciting a mix of shock and laughter. “Just to clarify,” Brock interjected, a smirk on his face, “Alayah is our rightful Alpha, and these four males are her Mates.” He then instructed Nikolay to head upstairs, and they all followed suit, leaving Bree in a state of utter bewilderment. Bryson shook his head in disbelief, still processing the chaos that had unfolded downstairs, but Nathan chuckled, knowing this wouldn’t be the last of such antics.

**Alayah’s Perspective**

Topaz was still giggling uncontrollably, and Alayah found herself in a state of shock over her own bold comment regarding Noah and the blow-up doll. Was it her remark or Noah’s playful comeback that left her speechless? She needed a distraction, something to pull her thoughts away from the embarrassing moment, and so she hurried upstairs, determined to seek answers from her grandfather.

Nikolay held her hand firmly as they entered the living room, skidding to a halt when Alayah noticed her parents locked in a passionate embrace. “Looks like they scared off the rest of us,” she mumbled, turning to Nikolay and burying her face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, providing comfort as Nathan walked in, gagging dramatically. Their mother, ever the quick thinker, tossed a pillow at him, but it sailed past him harmlessly.

Within moments, the entire family congregated in the living room, and Alayah seized the opportunity to ask her grandfather about the attack on the Blood Stone Pack from years past. “Who was responsible for that attack?” she inquired, her heart racing with anticipation. The answer she received left her utterly dumbfounded. “The Autumn Moon Pack,” he stated matter-of-factly, and shock rippled through the room. That particular pack had yet to be established, as far as anyone knew.
