Lisa knew that she loved dressing up, putting on makeup, and using high-end fragrances.

Joelle had targeted her preferences so precisely that Lisa was sure Logan must have told her.

Lisa then walked over to Martha, hugged her, and whispered in her ear, "What's going on? It seems like nothing happened."

Martha patted her hand and replied, "What do you expect to happen, huh?"

"No, I just feel like something was supposed to be a total disaster, but everything seems so calm. What did Uncle Logan do?" she asked, puzzled.

"He didn't do anything. Lately, he's been spending all his time with your grandparents. He shows no sign of wanting to leave this family. So, they're not as upset as they could be," Martha said, glancing at Alistair. "They're just putting on a brave face and trying not to let us worry."

Lisa's heart ached with sadness, but she also felt a deep sense of gratitude. It was a blessing to be part of such a loving and considerate family.

"That's good," she said, feeling relieved.

"Liz, your uncle's behavior is really strange. If he's not going to leave the Cohens, then why bother acknowledging his biological family?" Martha had brought this up a few times now.

Flustered, Lisa blurted out, "Mom, I need to go to work. Bye!"
