Chapter 44
Hazel’s POV:
My face flushed with embarrassment as I quickly turned around.
Sorry, I didn’t know someone was inside.”
Who could have expected this? The Omega maid who brought me upstairs didn’t mention anyone was in there either.
I heard the sound of a towel being wrapped behind me, knowing he had covered himself with a towel.
Just as I was about to open the door and leave, suddenly the maid’s voice came from outside:
“Miss Hazel? I see the door is open, are you inside?”
“I’m here.” I immediately responded.
If she came in now and saw this scene, or if I opened the door and let others see Vincent with just a towel around him-
I wouldn’t be able to clear my name even if I jumped into the sink.
I glared at Vincent, signaling him to stay quiet. But he looked completely unconcerned, lips curved in a smile, watching me with casual indifference.
“Alright.” After the maid’s voice faded, she quickly walked away.
I secretly breathed a sigh of relief and was about to open the door-
But the next second, the presence behind me suddenly pressed close, directly surrounding me.
I could feel that intense masculine aura rushing toward me, as if just getting a little closer could ignite me into flames.
He pressed against me, one hand firmly against the door, trapping me entirely between him and the door panel.
Even the air seemed to become scorching hot.
“Didn’t you quite enjoy looking at my body?” he whispered close to my ear with amusement, like a feather lightly brushing my earlobe, making me shiver involuntarily.
“What? Not looking now?” His voice gradually lowered, his tone becoming flirtatious, as if deliberately teasing.
Trapped in front of the door, I could neither move nor stay still.
I frowned: “Move away, you’re pressing against me.”
His gaze swept downward, his eyes immediately darkening, eyebrows raising.
Damn…
I clearly felt him pull back a bit.
just as I was about to take the opportunity to leave, sounds of mopping came from outside.
With my hand on the door handle, I mentally weighed how to explain this mess.
After all it was his problem, I wasn’t at fault.
1 gently turned the handle, preparing to open the door.
But before I could react, his hand gripped my waist and pulled me back sharply.
“You
Before I could finish speaking, his lips covered mine.
It was a warm, moist sensation, first just a light touch, like testing.
Then it became increasingly bold.
Just as i was about to struggle free, my hands were pinned behind my back, pressed so I couldn’t move.
I wasn’t untrained–my skills weren’t bad either–but he… was clearly no ordinary rich young master.
This guy’s strength and reflexes were too fast, clean and efficient, every move precise, like a soldier with rich combat experience.
My chest rose and fell dramatically, my heartbeat growing heavier with each beat.
His wet hair was still dripping, drop after drop falling onto my face, flowing along my cheek into my neck and collarbone.
I frowned and bent my knee, driving it straight up!
He seemed to have anticipated this, sidestepping easily to dodge.
When he released my hands, he still looked down at me, eyes carrying lazy amusement, his whole being radiating impropriety.
Disheveled wet hair, lips curved in a smile, like he’d just emerged from some wild state.
“I don’t always have such good restraint, Hazel.”
His voice was low and husky, carrying burning desire: “Don’t test an Alpha’s limits. You study medicine–don’t Alpha’s instincts?”
My lips were red from the kiss as I gritted/my teeth coldly: “Your self–awareness is quite clear.”
Though the space was small, now that my hands were free, fighting back was no longer a problem.

My strikes were swift and ruthless, but each time I was just a bit short. Vincent seemed already accustomed to my attacks, dodging with ease.
