Hazel’s POV:

“What are you doing! Let her go!” Arthur roared.

George also shouted urgently, “Caroline!”

I merely frowned slightly. “I told you, I don’t have much patience. Hurry up.”

As my grip tightened, Caroline’s neck began struggling more obviously. She couldn’t breathe, tears streaming down her face.

“George…” she cried, looking at him with pleading eyes full of desperation.

Suddenly, the surroundings fell dead silent.

None of the onlooking guests dared make a sound. Even their breathing became cautious, afraid they’d become the next target.

Several staff members who wanted to intervene wisely stopped in their tracks.

I glanced at Alexa and Dante from the corner of my eye. They exchanged looks without speaking, but their eyes were filled with determination.

Even though I had made my move, they still stood by my side.

I knew this, and I kept it in my heart.

Of course, I wouldn’t actually let Caroline die. As a doctor, I knew exactly how far to push it. I could make her feel like she was dying, but nothing would actually happen to her.

So her face began turning purple, her eyes filled with terror, her face twisted in agony.

George gritted his teeth and actually lowered his voice to shout at Dante, “D–daddy…”

Arthur also called out with a face full of frustration and anger, “Daddy…”

I heard the man beside Joseph almost burst into laughter, barely holding it back after Joseph shot him a look.

Dante cleared his throat, seeming a bit uncomfortable with this sudden “promotion.”

Alexa’s face was also flushed red, clearly struggling not to laugh out loud.

Arthur said coldly, “That’s enough, Hazel! Let her go!”

He stood there not daring to move, obviously afraid I might do something even more extreme.

Very normal. To him now, I was an uncontrollable lunatic.

George didn’t dare step forward either.

The other onlooking guests, seeing the drama was over, also tactfully dispersed back to their positions.

But I could still hear whispered discussions around us.
