Marked By The Mad King Alpha (Phoebe and Perry) novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130: His Silent Suffering

Fiona’s arms wrapped tightly around Reginald’s waist, her fingers gliding slowly along his length with a hunger that was impossible to miss. She longed for another round—their recent encounter had completely overwhelmed her senses. The way Reginald took charge thrilled her deeply, and she gave herself over to his control without hesitation.

Yet, beneath his exterior, Reginald felt a creeping boredom. He yearned for some form of resistance, a spark of defiance or even rejection—a real challenge to make the chase worthwhile. As a shifter, he thrived on hard-fought victories, savoring the thrill of conquest when it wasn’t handed to him on a silver platter.

But Fiona presented no such challenge. She was too eager, too willing, and that lack of resistance left him restless.

Still, he couldn’t afford to offend her. The alliance with her pack was vital at this moment. Being the cherished daughter of Alpha Theodore meant Fiona required delicate handling and careful consideration.

“What’s on your mind?” she whispered, her tongue tracing a tantalizing path down his spine, desperate to keep him aroused and holding onto her longer.

Her clinginess, however, was beginning to irritate him.

“If it’s about the war, maybe Daddy could help—if you ask him nicely,” she teased, nipping at his shoulder with a playful giggle. “You know how he melts for me.”

Reginald’s eyes remained closed, the stirrings of desire fading as he focused on the blonde woman’s eager touch.

“The battle,” he murmured. “We’re calling a meeting. We need a thousand more fighters from your pack. The others have offered five hundred each but can’t spare more—they’re busy defending their own territories.”

The border between Obsidian Claw and Crimson Fang lands ran along the river Phoebe had crossed two years ago.

Phoebe… The thought sent a sudden heat rushing through him, imagining those flowing locks were her rich brown hair instead.

Fiona misread his reaction as desire and grew bolder.

This was a fortunate turn of events for Reginald. Fiona’s infatuation had accelerated his path to becoming the heir. Alpha Theodore would only consider handing over his daughter if Alpha Sterling officially named Reginald as his successor.

That ultimatum had forced Sterling to abandon his usual mind games and tests. He had always planned to make Reginald his heir, but his stubborn nature had delayed the decision.

Reginald knew he couldn’t appear too eager for the title.

What choice did Sterling have? Without a son, Reginald was the only option.

He had eliminated Kyra and Kevin’s unborn child, leaving Sterling without any blood heirs.

“Consider it done,” Fiona purred, dropping to her knees. Her tongue flicked teasingly across his tip.

Reginald’s head fell back, his breath ragged. He bit down hard to keep Phoebe’s name from slipping out.

Fiona knew exactly how to use that tongue—he would give her that much.
