Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 175

**Chapter 175 Did I Say I Wouldn’t Help?**

**Luis’s POV**

As I stood there, I couldn’t quite decipher whether the rosy hue on Deanna’s cheeks was a result of my playful banter or if it was simply a remnant of her earlier dash. The way her skin glowed made her look even more captivating.

A teasing smile crept onto my lips. “Looks like I have you all figured out, huh?”

“Deanna, you know my assistance doesn’t come free of complications.” I let the words linger in the air, deliberately slowing my speech as I brushed my fingers against her hand, which rested at her side. Her skin felt soft and warm, still radiating heat from her run.

For a brief moment, Deanna hesitated, her gaze flickering between our hands, and then she wrapped her long fingers around mine. Her voice dropped to a whisper, almost vulnerable, as she asked, “What do you want from me?”

My gaze fell to her hand enveloped in mine, and a small spark ignited within me.

This woman had truly become astute.

She had finally grasped the art of getting what she desired.

“First, let’s get you in the car.”

“Okay,” she replied, her voice barely above a murmur.

I tightened my grip on her hand, intertwining our fingers as I guided her toward the passenger seat.

Once we were settled inside, I kept one hand firmly on the wheel while my other hand absentmindedly played with her fingers, the car’s engine purring to life beneath us.

**Deanna’s POV:**

As the sleek sports car surged onto the main road, I stole a glance at Luis.

He was fixated on the road ahead, his profile sharp and striking, characterized by a high nose and lips pressed together in calm determination. When we halted at a red light, his long, elegant fingers tapped a rhythm on the steering wheel, exuding an effortless composure.

I found myself captivated by him.

He was precisely the kind of man I was drawn to.

“Luis,” I ventured, breaking the silence, “could you help me investigate someone named Felix Vax?”

He shot me a quick, sidelong glance, his eyebrow arching in curiosity.

“He’s from Summit Design Studio—the first person to ever throw shade at Bluewave Studio,” I elaborated.

Luis smirked, a glint of mischief dancing in his eyes. “So you want me to exact revenge on him for you?”
