**Chapter 177: You’re an Asshole**
**Deanna’s POV:**
It felt as though the fragile walls of my self-control had crumbled entirely, yet I clung to one last, feeble line of defense.
“No, someone might see us,” I protested, my voice barely above a whisper, tinged with anxiety.
Luis, ever the charming rogue, flashed a grin that was both infuriating and irresistible. “My car’s windows are tinted, baby. Just help me out.”
With a sigh of resignation, I eventually succumbed to his persistent coaxing and unfastened his belt.
In no time, the only sound that filled the confined space of the car was Luis’s low, satisfied growls, a primal expression of pleasure that sent shivers down my spine.
I turned my head to steal a glance at him. He remained impeccably composed, dressed in his tailored suit, his expression as calm as a still lake. Yet, the smoldering desire in his eyes betrayed the intensity of the moment; if not for that, no one would ever suspect the scandalous act unfolding within the car’s shadows.
When it was over, I stared at the sticky mess on my fingers, biting my lip in a mix of embarrassment and disbelief.
Luis, ever the gentleman, pulled me into his embrace, reaching for some wipes from the glove compartment. He meticulously cleaned each of my fingers, his touch both tender and teasing.
“Baby, you did great,” he murmured, his voice laced with admiration.
Though my cheeks were still flushed, his words ignited the heat within me once more.
I glanced down, unable to meet his gaze, and muttered, “You’re an asshole.”
Luis’s eyes widened slightly at my comment, a playful smirk dancing on his lips. “There’s not much room here. I’ll make it up to you tonight.”
I turned away, refusing to let him see the effect his words had on me. “Who said I wanted you to?” I shot back, my tone feigning indifference.
“Oh?” He raised an eyebrow, his voice dripping with mischief. “Then you can make it up to me.”
I couldn’t help but roll down the window, desperate to let the fresh air wash away the lingering scent of our encounter.
Clearing my throat, I attempted to shift the conversation to safer ground. “Luis, you promised, right? I covered your interest, so you’ll help me investigate Felix.”
Luis arched an eyebrow, amusement flickering in his eyes. After a moment, he began to twirl a strand of my hair between his fingers, laughter bubbling up from his chest. “If you ever treat me as well as you treat Zelena, I’ll count myself lucky.”
