Chapter 19 Have You Had Enough?
Deanna’s POV:
The moment Jillian lifted her arm, I caught it in a snap.
Without giving her a chance to react, I yanked her toward the stairwell.
“Ah! What are you doing, Deanna? Let go of me!”

I ignored her screams. Once we reached the stairwell, I shoved her hard against the wall.
“What the hell, you b*tch? This is the company! If you lay a hand on me, I’ll tell Mom and Dad!” Jillian shrieked as she hit the wall, her voice cracking with panic.
“I’m not trying to do anything. I just think your mouth stinks. That coffee only washed your clothes, but your mouth needs a rinse, too.”
My eyes flicked to a trash bin nearby—inside sat a half–finished bottle of sour, curdled milk.
I sneered. Ha. Jillian, you’re just a human. Where do you get the nerve to keep provoking me? You like to play tricks? Fine. I’ll play along.
I walked to the trash bin, grabbed the milk bottle, and flung it straight at Jillian’s face.
She barely got her hands up before the rancid milk splattered over her hair, face, and neck.
“AHHHHH!”
Her scream echoed across the entire floor.
Her clothes were ruined, and her once–perfect hair and makeup were dripping with milky sludge. The sour stench filled the stairwell.
I shot her a look of disgust, wiped my hands, and walked out of the stairwell.
The moment I stepped into the hallway, I ran into Philip and a group of assistants and executives coming out of his office.
I glanced back at Jillian, stumbling after me with her fists clenched.
“You b*tch! Deanna, don’t you run! I’m going to smash your face in!” she cursed.
An idea flashed in my head. I widened my eyes in fake terror and darted behind Philip.

“Dad! Dad, I don’t know what’s wrong with Jillian. She suddenly tried to hit me! You have to
save me!”
I hadn’t spent much time with Philip, but I had already figured him out–he only cared about the Mistbane Pack and his own reputation.
The fights between me and Jillian never mattered to him.
But if Jillian embarrassed him in public, she was definitely getting chewed out.
Sure enough, the moment Philip saw Jillian looking like a total mess, he snapped, “Jillian, have you had enough?”
She flinched, sniffled, and jabbed a finger at me. “Dad, I wasn’t causing trouble! It was Deanna! She spilled coffee all over me first, and then she grabbed some milk from the trash and—”
“That’s not what happened,” I cut in smoothly. “Liam accidentally spilled a little coffee on Jillian, but she overreacted. She thought I put him up to it and tried to throw milk at me. I dodged, and it splashed all over her instead.”
Beside us, Liam kept his head down and nervously added, “I really didn’t mean to, Alpha.”
“You’re lying, Deanna! Dad, don’t believe her, she-”
“Enough!” Philip’s face darkened. “Jillian, this is a company. Watch your behavior. If you keep making a scene, I’ll have your mom cut off your allowance.”
The threat of losing her allowance stopped her cold.
She sulked and lowered her head. “I’m sorry, Dad. It won’t happen again.”
I hid a smirk. You think you’re the only one who can put on an act? I can, too.
“Dad, I’m not going to hold it against Jillian,” I said sweetly. “Right now, what matters most is securing the investment for the Moonline Expansion Project. I’ll keep my eyes on the bigger picture.”
Philip’s expression softened as he nodded. “Both of you need to focus on securing that investment. Remember, whoever lands it will get ten percent of the company shares, and I’ll personally make sure they’re groomed for the future.”
With that, he led his executives toward the conference room.
As I passed Jillian, I gave her a mocking once–over, then fanned the air in front of my nose. “God, Jillian, you reek. If I were you, I wouldn’t dare show my face right now.”

Without another glance, I strolled off, her muffled curses chasing me down the hall.

Jake’s POV:
When I got to the office, I tossed my suit jacket onto the couch and told Axel, my beta, to call the CFO in.
Within ten minutes, Justin Castro, the CFO, was standing in front of my desk.
“Alpha, what can I do for you?” he asked politely.
“I need the finance department to free up five billion in liquid funds.”
Justin hesitated, choosing his words carefully. “Alpha, our Moonstone mining operation in Souville is consuming a huge amount of cash flow. I’m afraid-”
I cut him off with a cold look. “Do I need your permission to access five billion?”
“It’s not that we can’t free up the funds, it’s just that with the Souville mines-”
“As my subordinate, your job is to solve problems, not create them. Understood?”
“Yes, Alpha.” He nodded, keeping the rest of his thoughts to himself. “When do you need the funds available?”
I tapped my fingers twice on the desk, thinking for a moment.
“This week.”
“Understood. I’ll make the arrangements immediately.”
Axel’s POV:
After Justin left, I couldn’t hold back my curiosity. “Alpha, what’s the fund for?”
Five billion wasn’t pocket change. With the Moonstone mining project as Olsendreich Pack’s top priority this year, diverting that much liquid capital had to mean something serious.
