**Chapter 266: That’s Not My Problem**
**Zelena’s POV:**
A sharp jolt of pain lanced through my waist, piercing like a needle and forcing a wince from my lips. I could feel the tension in the air, thick and suffocating.
Mason, ever the impatient one, shot me a glance that was both demanding and curious. “What’s wrong?” His tone was sharp, like a knife, cutting through my moment of discomfort.
“N-no, it’s nothing,” I stammered, desperately trying to mask my pain with a shaky smile that felt more like a grimace.
It was clear that Mason was irked—his irritation simmered just below the surface. Yet, with Luis present, he seemed to restrain his temper, redirecting his frustration toward me instead.
A sly smirk crept onto Mason’s face, his eyes glinting with mischief. “If you’re this sensitive, what are you going to do once you’re in my bed tonight?”
His words hung in the air, leaving me feeling a wave of humiliation wash over me, rendering me incapable of even pretending to smile.
I dared to steal a glance at Luis, hoping for some sign of distraction. Luckily, he wasn’t looking my way, which offered a momentary relief. Yet, it also ignited a fire of frustration within me.
As the Alphas delved deeper into their discussion, Luis stepped outside to take a call. This was my opening!
With a calculated move, I brushed my fingers lightly across Mason’s chest, feigning innocence. “Mr. Davenport, I need to use the restroom.”
He let out a snort that was laced with skepticism. “Not trying to run off, are you?”
Inside, I was chuckling at the irony, but I kept my smile sweet and inviting. “Of course not. I came here just for you.”
In reality, I wasn’t fleeing; I was merely shifting my aim to a more enticing target.
When it came to power, who could possibly rival Luis?
Why should I settle for Mason, who was older, married, and decidedly out of shape, when I had the chance to go after Luis himself?
If I managed to sleep with Luis, I could guarantee that Mason would think twice before crossing me again.
Plus, the thought of annoying Deanna thrilled me.
Just the idea sent a thrill of excitement racing through me.
As I slipped out of the suite, I caught sight of Luis wrapping up his call, preparing to leave. My heart raced.
I quickly adjusted my strap, letting it slide off my shoulder to expose more skin, pushing my chest up, hoping to catch his attention.
