**Chapter 320: The Curse Won’t Fully Activate Yet**
In the dimly lit living room, Ruth’s gaze was fixed on the pack medics, who stood as still as statues, their expressions a mix of apprehension and fear.
A fierce heat surged within her, a tempest of molten fury that threatened to erupt. The only outlet for her pent-up rage was the hapless individuals before her.
“Why are you all just standing there? Hurry up and save her! Are you all completely incompetent? What purpose does the Mooncrown Pack have for such worthless trash like you?” she spat, her voice sharp and biting.
The medics exchanged glances, their unease palpable. Each of them understood the unspoken rules that governed their actions: without an Alpha’s command, tending to a traitor was forbidden. To do so could lead to dire consequences, possibly even their own demise.
Yet, under the weight of Ruth’s piercing glare, they felt compelled to act. Reluctantly, they moved toward Alina, who lay motionless on the floor, her life hanging by a thread.
Just then, a frantic servant burst into the room. “M-Mrs. Eaton! Something’s gone terribly wrong!”
“Stop panicking!” Ruth snapped, her irritation flaring anew.
“Mr. Eaton’s symptoms have returned with a vengeance! He’s gone into the basement all by himself!”
The living room fell into an eerie silence. The medics, who had been focused on Alina, halted in their tracks, their eyes darting toward Ruth. The Alpha was the heart of the pack; his well-being overshadowed everything else. With the curse rearing its ugly head again, no one dared to divert their attention to Alina.
But Ruth feigned ignorance, letting out a cold, mirthless laugh as she absentmindedly tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “I warned him time and again to settle down and produce an heir, yet he chose to ignore my advice. Now he dares to defy me for the sake of some outsider? If he’s suffering, it’s nothing more than what he deserves.”
“Isn’t he supposed to be so capable? Didn’t he boast that the rules of the Mooncrown Pack were his to dictate? Then let him handle it himself. I refuse to waste my energy worrying about him.”
“Mrs. Eaton!” one of the older medics interjected, his voice tinged with urgency. “We still haven’t located a Healer. We must at least send someone to monitor Mr. Eaton!”
Ruth leisurely lifted her cup of cold tea, savoring a sip as if it were the most important thing in the world. “The curse won’t fully activate just yet. He won’t die. Focus on treating Alina. There are other pack medics who can keep an eye on him down in the basement.”
A chill swept through the room, freezing the medics in their tracks. They couldn’t shake the feeling that Ruth had completely lost her grip on reality.
However, bound by duty, they knelt beside Alina once more, the urgency of their task pressing down on them as they worked to stabilize her shallow breaths.

**Deanna’s POV:**
Inside the bedroom, a sense of stillness enveloped me after Luis had left. I began to explore the space, my curiosity piqued by the various items that adorned the room.
