Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' novel Chapter 439

Chapter 439: Preferences

"I’m obviously here to welcome Ms. Selina," the Foster VP said flatly, not even glancing at Riley. "Today, Ms. Selina has reserved the entire HM Hotel. She is our most distinguished guest."

Selina reserved the whole HM Hotel!?

Riley looked like she’d been struck by lightning. Her eyes flew wide open.

"That’s impossible!" Madam Nelson was the first to blurt out, forcing a fawning smile: "Foster VP, you must be mistaken. Today was specially reserved by Mr. Logan for Riley. What does this have to do with Selina? You can’t just—just assume the guest of honor is her just because she’s Logan’s wife!"

Madam Nelson put on that ’the real VIP is my daughter’ act, dripping sarcasm at Selina. "Foster VP, don’t get this wrong. You don’t want to offend the real guest of honor."

Riley also felt certain there was some mistake. Selina could never—

"How could I be mistaken." The Foster VP’s brows drew together.

He might never have met Selina in person before today, but he’d heard her name dozens of times from the Foster Family.

Selina Clark.

Every single letter burned into his memory.

Calmly, he said, "I confirmed Ms. Selina’s name and identity no less than ten times. There’s no way HM Hotel would make such an error. We don’t mistake our VIPs."

"As for Mr. Logan..." The VP looked genuinely puzzled. "He has no ties to HM Hotel at all. I don’t know where this ’Miss Nelson’ even got that idea."

Riley’s mind went blank.

Not Logan? No connection to Logan? But the reservation was under Reid Group’s name!

The Foster VP ignored the Nelson women’s shock. He kept his courteous, polished tone as he turned to Selina: "Ms. Selina, would you like to head to the photography studio now, or go upstairs to rest? We have a professional team ready. If you’re tired, you can leave the entire shoot to them."

Selina gave a slow, amused smile. "Manager Sanders claimed the studio was already given to Ms. Nelson."

The VP’s face hardened immediately. "Please rest assured, Ms. Selina. Any unrelated parties have already been asked to leave. As for Manager Sanders—he will be dealt with appropriately."

By then Riley had gotten the message on her phone: her marketing team had not only been kicked out, but the fiasco had spread through the company. Everyone now knew she’d tried to hijack Selina’s reservation—and failed.

Riley was shaking all over, teeth grinding so hard they might break. She genuinely couldn’t process it. Even if Logan didn’t reserve it, how could it possibly be Selina’s?

Seeing the outcome was sealed, Madam Nelson couldn’t accept it. "This is wrong! You must have messed up. Foster VP, Selina’s just some hillbilly—how could she possibly afford to reserve the whole place? HM Hotel is so high-end, just stepping inside should be an honor for her!"

"Ms. Selina didn’t have to pay to reserve it at all," the VP replied, polite but cutting. "Because the entire hotel is Ms. Selina’s property."

His good manners compelled him to answer Madam Nelson’s outburst, before he turned back to Selina in his gentlest tone: "Miss Selina, how would you like us to deal with these... unrelated individuals?"

Selina was savoring it. She threw Riley’s words right back at her, smiling brightly: "Ms. Nelson, do you want me to tell my people to shoot faster? We can finish by five this afternoon and let you have the studio then. You can work late and still get your photos done."

Riley looked like she was about to faint from rage.

Madam Nelson lost all composure, her posh facade shredded. She shrieked, "Selina, how dare you! Don’t you know about the relationship between the Nelson Family and Logan? You—"

But the Foster VP was already acting on Selina’s hint—that if Riley wanted the studio after five, she was currently "unrelated."

He turned to Selina with that same calm professionalism and added smoothly: "Of course, Miss Selina, the hotel is entirely yours today. But the studio, well—it is just one room, and some shots do look better at night."

Selina put on a mock-apologetic face. "Oh, then never mind. Ms. Nelson, really sorry about this—but you should head home now. Don’t embarrass yourself in front of everyone."

Riley was shaking with rage, her whole body trembling. These were the exact words she’d used on Selina before—and in less than ten minutes, Selina had thrown them right back in her face.

The Foster VP made a small gesture. Four men in tailored suits walked in, positioned themselves by the Nelson mother and daughter, gave Selina a respectful bow, then forcibly escorted them out without another word.

As they went, Selina caught Riley shooting her a murderous glare. She arched a brow, utterly unbothered.

"Good work, Foster VP," she said, feeling very satisfied.
