Marrying Without My Eight-Year Boyfriend Knowing novel Chapter 43

"Get the hell out!" Ruben threw his phone at his friend.

His friend didn’t dare to say anything and slunk out of the room with his tail between his legs.

"Joanna, you really are such a damn fool!"

Ruben fumed alone in the hospital room.

A week later, after Ruben was discharged from the hospital, he showed up at my door again, holding a contract in his hand.

"Joanna, if you get back with me, I can give you all the resources you need and the team you want.

"On your own, you won’t be able to build your team."

I took the contract from his hand and threw it straight into the trash.

His mood shifted instantly. He grabbed my hand.

"Do you really hate me that much?

"Is it because I posted a picture kissing my first love?

"Everyone has exes, right?

"You kissed your ex in front of me, and I didn’t even make a fuss about it.

"Why can’t I remember Joella?"

I yanked my hand away forcefully.

"Ruben, let go of me! Ugh—forcing something that isn’t meant to be isn’t sweet!"

He lost his temper again, acting as if he couldn’t hear any of my words.

"I’ll still try it, even if it’s not sweet!"

Buzzing—buzzing—

His phone rang.

He hung up, but then several more calls came in one after another.

He answered the phone and put it on speaker, his voice impatient.

"Who is it? If you’ve got something to say, just say it!"
