Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 207

It was almost unbelievable.

Roxanne had really gotten married and not to Sebastian?

Rita and Cecilia were both stunned for a moment but quickly recovered. Cecilia looked at her gleefully, filled with schadenfreude.

"Roxanne, only someone as shameless as you could do this. Think about it. Who do you think you are, and who is Sebastian? You two were never a match.

"You shamelessly clung to Sebastian for so many years. Did he ever treat you nicely? Everyone knows the person he truly loves is Liana. You've been fooling yourself all these years, and you finally couldn't keep up the lie, could you?

"You even drugged him just to marry into a wealthy family. How shameless can you get?"

Roxanne raised an eyebrow, immediately lifting her phone and waving it at Rita and Cecilia. "I've already recorded everything you just said. You're slandering and defaming me. Apologize immediately or I'm calling the police."

Rita and Cecilia exchange a glance, then burst out laughing. "Slander? Call the police? Roxanne, don't make us laugh. Which part of what we said was not true? Show us the evidence. If you can, not only will we apologize, but we'll even get down on our knees for you."

"Fine. As you wish."

Roxanne tapped twice on her phone, then looked up with a bright smile. "I've already uploaded the evidence to the college's forum. You two can kneel and apologize now."

The surrounding onlookers, hearing Roxanne's words, quickly pulled out their phones and opened the forum. There, pinned at the top, was a post—[The Truth about Roxanne's Drugging Incident!]

The poster had a close-up photo of Roxanne's stunning face along with her name. At this point, no one cared about anything else. Gossip was the top priority.

Instantly, the looks people gave Roxanne were filled with sympathy and pity.

Roxanne crossed her arms and looked calmly at Rita's and Cecilia's ashen faces.

She said leisurely, "Hurry up and kneel. I'm on a tight schedule."

Rita and Cecilia tried to argue. "How does that video prove you didn't collude with the waiter? Otherwise, why would the drugged wine end up in front of you?"

Roxanne rolled her eyes. Their logic was twisted, full of nonsense.

She had no intention of indulging them. "If that's what you're going with, then calling the police is absolutely necessary. I don't care. I've been carrying this false accusation for years. But you two, aren't you planning to take your qualifying exams for grad school? Would you like to take a guess at what happens if you're found guilty of slander and defamation? Do you think your qualifications might get revoked?"
