Cecilia and Rita both looked bitter.
Cecilia exploded, her voice sharp with fury. "Roxanne, you're shameless!"
But Roxanne only smiled. She was bright, fearless, and entirely unfazed.
"I'm only shameless to the shameless. Congratulations, you've earned it. Now, I'll give you ten seconds to think it over. Apologize, or I'll call the police."
She directly dialed the emergency number on her phone, ready to call the moment they refused.
Cecilia and Rita exchanged a look, seeing fear and confusion in each other's eyes. The fear came from realizing that the current Roxanne was nothing like the old Roxanne who never argued or fought back. It seemed she was serious this time.
The confusion came from wondering why Roxanne, who had remained silent all this time, suddenly decided to explain herself today.
Roxanne looked at them and said, "Three seconds left… Three… Two…"
Rita shouted, "Sorry!"
Cecilia, though unwilling, didn't dare gamble her graduate school qualifications either and followed quickly. "Sorry!"
Even though they apologized, their eyes were full of anger and unwillingness. They completely lacked any sincerity.
Roxanne was not satisfied with such an apology. "What did you say earlier? That if I showed the evidence, you'd kneel and apologize. You've apologized, so I'll consider forgiving you. Now, it's time to kneel."
Cecilia's and Rita's faces turned ashen in an instant. "Roxanne, don't push it!"
Without wasting a word, Roxanne immediately dialed the police, and the call connected quickly. "Hello, I'd like to report a case of slander and defamation."
A crisp, professional voice responded, "Please state your name and location."
"I've already sent the recording of your slander to the college's complaint box. You're welcome."
Rita and Cecilia looked like they were about to explode. "Roxanne, you're shameless! You clearly said you'd forgive us if we apologized, and now, you've reported us!"
Roxanne gave an innocent look, then smiled sweetly. "I don't remember saying that. Good luck failing your exams!"
At that moment, her phone rang. It was a call from Sebastian.
Roxanne frowned slightly. After hesitating for a moment, she still answered.
Sebastian's gentle voice came through the line. "Are you still coming over today? Want to have dinner together? I'm ready and waiting for you."
Roxanne pouted a little. Originally she had planned to go today out of guilt.
