Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 210

Sebastian almost laughed, but it was caught in his chest.

Roxanne stole someone else's love? The idea was absurd. She hadn't stolen anything. There was no love taken and no relationship that she had come between.

Toward the end of the video, Roxanne calling the police on them was nothing short of satisfying. The humiliation and resentment when the two ladies were forced to kneel were written all over their faces, raw and impossible to hide. It was obvious they were begging for mercy.

Even after they apologized, Roxanne didn't give them a chance. She reported them right away—vengeful and fierce.

Sebastian noticed that toward the end of the video, her phone rang. She answered it, and he could clearly hear her angry voice say, "I'm not going!"

Sebastian was momentarily speechless. So, his call had come right at the height of the storm?

He rubbed his temples, his handsome face full of helplessness.

Nicholas shot him a pitying glance as if to say, "See? This is what you brought on Roxanne."

Everyone had more or less finished watching the video. Of course, the real focus was still on the truth about the drugging.

Jake gathered his courage and asked Sebastian, "Mr. Hayes, if I may… Back then, about Roxanne drugging you—"

"She didn't!" After all this time, Sebastian finally spoke up for Roxanne. He finally cleared his name. Only, it was too late. It was a statement made only after seeing the evidence. Before seeing it, he had never trusted her. In his mind, not pursuing the matter had meant letting it go.

Winona hesitantly asked, "Mr. Hayes, do you still need us to be your advisors? Ms. Sawyer is already married. The obstacle between you and Ms. Halesworth is gone. You can be together openly now."

The four of them actually had a private chat group where they discussed all this. Technically speaking, Sebastian could have both women. But it was obvious Sebastian liked Liana more.

As for Roxanne—the granddaughter of Lucas' comrade, someone who had been by his side for years, who was tied to him through drugging accusations, who had shielded him from danger and kidnapping incidents—she had clung to him like an octopus, binding him tightly.

Sebastian, out of obligation and pressure, couldn't push her away. Roxanne had been the biggest obstacle between Sebastian and Liana. Now, that obstacle was gone.

All Sebastian needed to do was happily bring Liana home. The mission was completed so abruptly that it caught everyone off guard.
