Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 211

Sebastian's expression turned grim when he heard Winona's words. "Obstacle"—it was the second time today he had heard that word.

Roxanne was actually considered his obstacle.

Sebastian closed his eyes. His cold, handsome face turned ashen, and a storm churned inside him. It was obvious he could no longer control his emotions.

Nicholas quickly stepped up to calm him down. "Don't get worked up. Don't worry. These four are all top talents. They'll definitely help you."

Even Nicholas didn't want to keep watching the show anymore. He directly said to the group, "You guys misunderstood. Sebastian didn't ask you here to help him pursue Liana. It's Roxanne he wants to pursue."

All four faces froze in shock as they gasped sharply. They doubted if Nicholas actually knew what he was talking about. Their expressions were full of horror.

These four were all experts in love, masters at charming both men and women. Maybe they couldn't guarantee capturing someone's heart 100% of the time, but pulling off a sweet romance was usually a piece of cake.

They had developed countless strategies for handling the thoughts and psychology of men and women in relationships.

It wasn't even an exaggeration to say that once they set their sights on someone, there was almost no chance they couldn't win them over.

Among them, though, Winona and Richard stood out as the most unconventional pair. Back then, when the two of them clashed, he had been playing her while she had been reeling him in. It had been an intense back-and-forth, a fierce competition.

When they realized they were both hunters—and each other's prey—they completely blew it. Things went south fast—bad blood, an ugly breakup, and now, they wouldn't even acknowledge each other's existence.

"Mr. Hayes, Mr. Sinclair, can we step outside and have a quick meeting?" Richard said faintly.

Sebastian said nothing. Nicholas waved them off. "Go ahead."

"This is really an impossible problem! I don't know if you guys can imagine it as men, but as a woman, just thinking about being abandoned by my fiancé on our wedding day—that's a wound I could never get over!" Winona said.

"I saw the marriage certificate on the college's forum," Winona added. "The date is the day after the canceled engagement party. It shows Roxanne had already let go then."

"So if the drugging wasn't done by Roxanne and she married someone else right after the engagement was called off, doesn't that make her the real deal when it comes to love? No games, no dragging things out—straight to the point."

The others looked even more horrified. That was even scarier!

If Roxanne liked Sebastian for his money and status, there might still be some room to work with—some chance to turn things around. But if she was genuinely driven by pure, stubborn love… Then this was a dead end. An absolute no-win situation.

And Sebastian—he was just as unbelievable. He liked Roxanne yet had somehow hidden it so well that none of them had seen it coming.
