Without hesitation, Sebastian got out while carrying Roxanne in his arms. Taylor, who had followed behind them, also got out.

Nathaniel continued, "Hand Roxanne over to Taylor. Let him put her in his car."

Roxanne scoffed in Sebastian's ear. "You really plan on handing me over to Taylor?"

A man who had already proven he would run her over for Liana—what else was he capable of? Sebastian gently reassured her, saying, "Trust me. I'm here."

Roxanne let out a sharp laugh. Her voice dripped with sarcasm as she asked, "Isn't my current predicament because of you? You want me to feel safe? With you here? That's exactly why I don't."

Sebastian remained silent, knowing that no words could change how she felt right now. Yet despite her resistance, he still handed her over to Taylor.
