Elvira sounded upset. "You…"
Roxanne waved it off impatiently. "Let's not talk about that nasty man or anything depressing. Quick, show me the good food you packed for me."
Sebastian silently stood at the doorway with a frown. He never thought Roxanne would call him a bastard behind his back.
Sebastian scoffed. In public, Roxanne always acted as if she loved him very much, yet she called him a bastard behind his back.
At some point, Sebastian believed that Roxanne truly loved him. Now, it seemed like he had been overthinking things. Roxanne didn't love him that much.
After dropping Liana off at her ward, Sebastian hurried back because he wanted to apologize to Roxanne for accusing her.
Sebastian had struggled a lot before finally deciding to apologize. But now…
He turned to leave, stomping away in a huff.
In the ward, Roxanne and Elvira overheard the noise. As soon as they looked up, they happened to see Sebastian walking away.
Elvira met with Roxanne's gaze before asking dryly, "Do you think he heard us?"
Roxanne shrugged. "So what if he did? Shouldn't we always speak the truth?"
Elvira pointed disdainfully in the direction where Sebastian had left. "I think he's lost his mind."
Roxanne waved it off. Who cared about that? It would be even better if she could push him over the edge.
It wasn't a surprise that Elvira was her best friend. She had packed Roxanne's favorite desserts, fruits, and snacks. Everything she brought was enough to make her mouth water in delight.
