Liana's face turned as pale as a sheet, and her small shoulders trembled violently. Nicholas' words had made all the color drain from her face. She had heard about True Love's Heart. It was the Hayes family's heirloom diamond.

The last owner of the ring had been Sebastian's grandmother. As for Sebastian's mother, she had been deemed unfit to own it. Liana couldn't believe that Sebastian would give the ring to Roxanne. Did it mean that he approved of her? Liana refused to believe it. The way Sebastian behaved showed no signs that he approved of Roxanne.

Liana's eyes reddened while her small face twisted angrily, making her look unhinged. "No! Sebastian wouldn't give True Love's Heart to Roxanne! He must have only done it because he felt guilty over what had happened. He just wants to make it up to her."

Liana's elegant brows were raised, and she had her arms crossed over her chest.

"Liana, Sebastian also feels a great deal of guilt toward you because Miles sacrificed his life for him. You must have felt it after spending so many years with him. Why else would he allow you to do as you please considering your status?

"The guilt he feels toward you is much greater than the guilt he feels toward Roxanne. Not only that, he's also been carrying it around for much longer. Why didn't he gift True Love's Heart to you, then? Do you think it's because he never thought of it?"

Nicholas laughed condescendingly. "No, it's because he doesn't want to! You don't deserve it!"
