Moonlight In Chains (Trinity and Asher) novel Chapter 43

The ride to the location that Spencer was taking me too seemed to take forever. The wolfsbane soaked ropes that were tied around my wrists were burning so badly that I thought my wrists were going to catch on fire.

There was a man sitting on either side of me in the backseat of the car. My hatred and anger towards them was growing by the second.

Seeing Asher laying there on the ground, covered in blood, a silver bullet lodged in his stomach. I could only hope the hospital staff got there as soon as we left.

I mind linked them. I let them know what was happening. What had happened to Asher. But that doesn’t mean that they weren’t being attacked either. I didn’t see what was happening in the rest of the town. And if they were being attacked then that would have stopped them from helping him.

I couldn’t do anything right now but just hope. Hope and pray to the moon Goddess that he was alright. That he was going to be alright.

Just as dawn was approaching I saw the car drive off of the main highway and down a dirt road for a while before it finally reached a deserted tiny little town.

Spencer stopped the car and the guards beside me got out, one of them grabbing me by the arm and pulling me out as well.

It was a tiny little place. A shop, a few houses, nothing really special. But I could see off in the distance on the mountains that surrounded the town that there were more houses scattered around the town. Like an old mining town or something.

And it wasn’t too long before I was proven right.

I was dragged down the main street of town and around the corner where we saw some train tracks.

I was dragged to the opening of an old coal mine and Spencer took over from there.

He took me a fair distance into the town before he finally stopped and he grabbed some shackles that were attached to chains in the walls. All made out of silver of course, and he removed the ropes.

But just at that second I kneed him in the stomach and when he fell backwards I started running for the entrance.

Only to be stopped by two giant guards as Spencer ran up behind me and hit me over the

I fell to the ground but I didn’t lose consciousness and the guards dragged me back into the mine.

They attached the shackles to my wrists and Spencer made sure they were on properly.

You do realize what a big f*****g mistake you’ve just made, right?I asked.

I just killed your mate. Do you really think the rest of his family are going to come and find you?He asked.

What do you think?I asked, turning my head to the side, letting him see the mark on my neck.

You let that d**k mark you.” He said.

Yeah. And the mark is still there. Which means he’s not dead.I smirked at him.

He might not be dead yet, but he will be. Very few werewolves survive silver. He said, playing with my hair, trying to intimidate me.

Oh yeah. How many Alpha’s have you seen hit with silver? How do you know that they are as easy to kill with it?I asked, causing him to look at me strangely.

It really doesn’t matter. He’s never going to find you here. No one knows about this place. It’s been abandoned for years. For decades. He said.

Well, you better hope that they don’t find this place. Because you will lose.I said.

You really have a lot of faith in those people don’t you? When are you going to realize that you’re nothing? You’re not worth it. I’ve known that for years and so have our parents. He

said.

Don’t you mean, your parents?I asked.

Spencer stopped to look at me strangely and he took a step back.

So, you finally found out the truth. He said.

Yeah. And now the question remains, why did they steal me in the first place? What could I possibly have to make them want to steal me?I asked.

I don’t know what you’re talking about.He said.

Well, they were obviously keeping me around for leverage. They wanted to get me back after they were banished from the pack for a reason. I’m leverage to them. But who against?I

I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. They didn’t kidnap you. They found you and adopted you.He said. But I just shook my head.

You really are a f*****g i***t. You know that.I said.

I could feel my wolf trying to come to the front of my mind but with the wolfsbane soaked ropes and now the silver chains, she couldn’t. She was trying to fight against the poison, but it wasn’t working.

She was getting frustrated and so was I. I knew that she would be able to get me out of this.

But she couldn’t do it.

Why don’t you just sit tight. I’ll be back to check on you soon.Spencer said, moving his hand down my face before he slapped me.

I growled at him before he chuckled and he turned around to walk out of the tunnels.

I saw his shadow disappear around the corner and out of the tunnels which is when I started fighting against the chains. Trying to see if there was any give in them at all.

If they weren’t as strong as the ones at home that were stuck in cement then I might be able to get myself out of here.

But right now, I couldn’t find a way out. These chains seemed just as tight.

I couldn’t believe I found myself in chains again. I thought this part of my life was over.

I knew they weren’t going to stop looking for me. But I was determined to fight my way out of it. And I thought I’d have Asher by my side.

I really didn’t think he would use silver bullets on another werewolf.

That just shows how pathetic and sadistic he really is.

I knew I was in a desperate situation here and I needed to find a way out before it was too late. But there were also a lot of people scattered around this small ass town.

I didn’t know that Spencer had so many friends. But I also noticed the smell when I got out of the car. They were rogues.

So they probably aren’t his friends and just muscle for hire. But where he got the money from, that’s a mystery.

I tugged on the chains a few more times and I tried to turn around to get a better look at them to see if there was any weakness in the wall. Even kicking the wall.
