Chapter 77 Harry Makes the First Move

Yvonne’s face darkened with anger. “Catherine, are you seriously hitting people just because you can’t win an argument?”

Catherine said nothing as she shot a meaningful look at Michelle. She realized Michelle hadn’t taken her advice from last time to heart at all.

Michelle’s shoulders tensed instinctively. She grabbed Yvonne’s hand, deciding it was time to leave. “Von, let’s get out of here first.”

Boiling with anger, Yvonne yanked her hand free from Michelle’s. “Why should we leave? The shameless one is still here. If anyone should leave, it’s her!”

Eleanor could no longer stay quiet. Every insult made her chest tighten. She couldn’t even imagine how much humiliation Catherine had endured over the past two years.

She couldn’t help but speak up. “What do you mean by saying Cathy seduced Harry? It’s Harry who’s shameless! If it weren’t for that accident back then, Cathy would never have gotten involved.

“She only went to help out of kindness, and it was Harry who made the first move. He married her, but he kept fooling around with other women. He’s the shameless one!”

Yvonne didn’t like Catherine, but she was very protective of Harry. Hearing Eleanor speak about him like that, her eyes instantly filled with anger. “That’s nonsense!”

Eleanor scoffed. “Whether it’s nonsense or not, Harry knows best.”

She pulled Catherine’s hand, ready to leave.

Yet Catherine didn’t move. She quietly fixed her gaze on Michelle, who hadn’t said much but was clearly the mastermind.

“I told you before-I’ve already let go of Harry. He’s already yours, so you don’t need to keep using him to provoke me.”

Eleanor was taken aback when she heard that. She couldn’t help but wonder when Catherine had become so bold and commanding.

Catherine had always been quiet and gentle, so Eleanor figured that Michelle must have been pushing her too far. Otherwise, Catherine wouldn’t have been so hostile toward her.

Before leaving with Eleanor, Catherine said to Yvonne, “Whether you like it or not, I’m the Mrs. Zimmerman acknowledged by Harry’s family. You can’t twist things just by calling me a

homewrecker.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the two of them walked out of the boutique. The commotion finally came to an end.

Yvonne’s face flushed with fury, her hands clenching at her sides. “Catherine, I won’t let get away with this!”

She shot Michelle an indignant look as she spoke. “You just stood there and let her hit me. Couldn’t you at least say something?”

Michelle’s voice was low and tinged with helplessness. “After all, your uncle and aunt have already accepted her, and she’s carrying Harry’s child. As for Eleanor, I can’t afford to offend her either. No one will stand up for me.”

Her words sounded so pitiful, easing Yvonne’s anger toward her.

“Forget it. I never expected you to do much. I’ll find another way to make her pay for what she did to you,” Michelle answered gratefully.

Catherine and Eleanor had lost all interest in shopping, so they headed home instead.

On the way back, Eleanor scolded, “That Yvonne is such an idiot. She doesn’t even realize Michelle is using her.”

Catherine leaned wearily against the window and said nothing.

The thought of the incident being posted online gave her a headache. Yvonne would probably use it to attack her, and it would only end up causing more trouble for Rachel.

Catherine decided it was best to keep the matter under control. After all, Yvonne was still part of the Zimmerman family.

Once she got home, she felt completely drained. She put down what she was holding and lay on the couch. She only planned to rest for a moment, but before she knew it, she had drifted off to sleep.

When she opened her eyes again, it was already the next morning.

Her whole body ached as she got up. She looked down at her phone and saw that it was dead, so she went to her room to charge it, only to be met with an endless flood of messages and missed calls.

Her worst fears had come true.
