Mr Melendez Your Wife Wants Divorce Long Ago novel Chapter 105

**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 105**

The atmosphere shifted palpably as Georgina’s voice took on a serious tone. “Jay,” she began, her words laced with an undertone of vulnerability, “my brother and sister-in-law have made it clear they won’t support me or my child any longer. After spending six long years abroad, I find myself without any real friends left in Zelmere. I just wish that, for the sake of our past, if I ever encounter a challenge that feels insurmountable, you would be there to lend a hand. That’s all I’m asking for.”

Jay met her gaze, a solemn promise forming on his lips. “Georgina, I assure you, my promise to you will always stand firm.”

Her face lit up with a glimmer of relief, and she nodded appreciatively, not wanting to take up any more of his precious time. “Thank you, Jay. Your wife is truly fortunate to have you as her partner.”

As she spoke, Jay’s eyes dropped, concealing the tumult of emotions swirling within him. He couldn’t shake the feeling that if Arabella were genuinely satisfied, they wouldn’t be embroiled in such conflicts.

Emerging from the cozy coffee shop, the pair unexpectedly crossed paths with Arabella’s parents.

A tense silence enveloped them as their eyes met.

Georgina instinctively linked her arm with Jay’s, leaning her head against him, her voice trembling slightly. “Jay, I’m frightened.”

“I’m here for you,” he reassured her, his tone steady. “They won’t harm you.”

But then, with a gentle push, Jay urged Georgina away. “You should head home first,” he insisted, concern etched on his features.

He approached Arabella’s parents, extending his hand to assist them with their bags. “Dad, Mom, let me give you a ride home,” he offered, a sense of duty driving his actions.

Roderick’s icy glare met him. “That won’t be necessary,” he replied curtly.

The elderly couple stood hand in hand, waiting patiently for the traffic light to change.

Jay chose not to press the issue, nor did he offer an explanation.

Georgina trailed behind, her brow furrowed with worry. “Jay, has your wife’s family misunderstood something again?”

At that moment, a sleek black luxury car glided to a stop beside them.

Tabitha and Kim stepped out, striding purposefully toward Arabella’s parents.

With a surprising humility, Tabitha greeted them. “It’s so wonderful to see you both. Allow me to give you a ride home.”

Kayla glanced back at Jay and Georgina, her expression frosty. “No, thank you, Mrs. Melendez,” she declined sharply.

Without another word, the elderly couple began to cross the street.

Kim’s eyes narrowed as she turned to her mother. “Mom, look! My brother is with that Georgina woman right in front of my sister-in-law’s family!”

A wave of instinctive dread washed over Georgina as she caught sight of Tabitha. “M-Mrs. Melendez,” she stammered, her heart racing.

In an unexpected flash, Tabitha raised her hand and struck Georgina across the face!

“Smack!”

A sharp cry escaped Georgina’s lips as she instinctively sought refuge in Jay’s embrace.

When Tabitha finally grew weary of her actions, she released Georgina, who crumpled to the ground, trembling, clutching her head as sobs wracked her body.

Tabitha pointed an accusatory finger at her son. “Did you know that six years ago, this woman accepted a ten million dollar check from your grandfather, abandoned you, and fled the country overnight?”

Jayceon stood frozen, shock washing over him as he stared at Georgina in disbelief.

In that moment, Tabitha realized the truth; her son must never have heard the damning recording she had kept hidden all those years.

Georgina, desperate, shook her head vehemently, tears streaming down her face as she crawled toward Jayceon. “Jay, please, it’s not what you think. Let me explain!”

Slowly, Jayceon began to gather his thoughts, fighting to regain his composure.

He knelt beside her, extending a hand to help her up, his voice a mix of concern and urgency. “Let’s find a quieter place to talk. This intersection is too exposed.”

He couldn’t bear the thought of scandalous headlines about the Melendez family splashed across tomorrow’s newspapers.

Tabitha shook her head in disappointment, pulling Kimberly into the car and driving away, leaving the chaos behind.

Jayceon ushered Georgina into his vehicle, his expression a storm of emotions.

Before she could gather herself, Georgina blurted out through her tears, “Jay, I did take the ten million dollars from your grandfather, but it wasn’t my choice! He threatened my family’s lives!”

The shadows of anger and disbelief darkened Jayceon’s face. “You’ve been back for so long, and I’ve never heard you mention this before!”
