**TITLE: Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 327**
With his forthrightness hanging in the air, Georgina felt a surge of determination to make this night unforgettable for him.
She settled herself beside Jayceon, her voice a playful blend of flirtation and a hint of sorrow. “You’ve been so distant lately, and to top it off, you didn’t even bother to get me a cake for my birthday. If you don’t have a present for me either, then you’re definitely not allowed to touch me tonight~” Her words dripped with a teasing challenge, but there was an underlying vulnerability that she hoped he would notice.
Jayceon turned his head, his eyes narrowing slightly as he regarded her. A frown creased his brow, betraying his irritation. He stood, deftly avoiding the playful reach of Georgina’s hand as he spoke, “I’ve waited far too long for this day. How could I possibly not have something special prepared just for you?”
A thrill coursed through Georgina at his words. She couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement as she slowly peeled off her jacket, deliberately showcasing her surgically enhanced curves. “Jay,” she said, her voice sultry, “I have a gift for you, too.”
As she approached him, Jayceon’s gaze remained steady, though his expression was unreadable. He placed the recording pen he had been holding onto the coffee table, the sleek device gleaming under the dim light.
Just as he set it down, the door swung open, and Steve rushed in, his presence interrupting the moment.
In a panic, Georgina bent down, scrambling to gather her scattered clothes from the floor. Her heart raced as she hurriedly slipped them back on, her mind racing to make sense of the sudden intrusion. The recorder, shaped innocuously like a pen, went unnoticed in her frantic state; she assumed it was just a regular writing instrument, her focus solely on regaining her composure.
Steve approached Jayceon, his demeanor all business, oblivious to the tension in the room. “Mr. Melendez, Elle Yates from Yuanhua is waiting for you outside. She mentioned she saw you enter this private dining room and would like to invite you to her room for drinks with a few other executives.”
Jayceon’s expression darkened slightly at the mention of Elle. The Melendez Group and Yuanhua had a long-standing partnership, and it wouldn’t be wise to ignore her invitation. He turned to Georgina, weighing his options.
“Jay,” Georgina chimed in quickly, her voice dripping with sweetness, “you should go handle your business first. I’ll be right here waiting for you.”
Jayceon picked up the recording pen from the table, his voice steady as he reassured her, “I promised you an unforgettable birthday, and I intend to keep that promise. I apologize for making you wait a little longer.”
She added with a dismissive wave of her hand, “If you won’t help, I’ll just find someone else. I’ll pay you back tomorrow with interest, and I suppose that’ll be the end of our friendship.”
In her mind, Georgina scoffed coldly. Once she became the official Mrs. Melendez, a mere illegitimate daughter from a tycoon family like Olivia wouldn’t even be worthy of carrying her shoes.
There was a moment of silence on the line before Olivia finally spoke, her tone softening. “Georgina, we’re friends. How could I possibly stay mad at you over such a trivial amount? Just remember me when you’re Mrs. Melendez.”
With a reluctant sigh, Olivia relented, “Don’t worry, I’ll find a banquet hall for you right now and invite all our friends.”
Georgina couldn’t suppress the triumphant smile that spread across her face. Jayceon had promised her a celebration, and she was eager to see how Tabitha, that old woman, would react to seeing her precious son with her.
After hanging up, Georgina wasted no time. She called her brother and sister-in-law, her voice filled with excitement. “Mom, I’m officially getting back together with Jayceon tonight. Please, go and get Dr. Palmer for me.”
