**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**

**Chapter 58**

Jayceon enveloped Arabella in his arms, holding her with an intensity that spoke of desperation and longing. This moment, so fleeting yet so precious, was something he wanted to savor.

“Arabella,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, muffled against her hair. “I swear to you, I’m being honest. Just give me a number, and I’ll ensure Georgina and her son are taken care of financially. After that, I promise, I’ll only assist them when absolutely necessary. I won’t spend another cent behind your back, I swear it.”

Arabella, feeling the weight of his words pressing down on her, fought against his grip. With a sudden burst of strength, she wriggled free, creating a chasm between them as she retreated to the sofa, her heart pounding in her chest.

“Jayceon, why can’t you understand?” she exclaimed, her voice trembling with frustration. “This isn’t just about money!”

Deep down, Arabella craved emotional integrity, a purity that felt increasingly out of reach. The thought of Jayceon’s past—the shadows of his choices—tainted her vision of their future together.

Even if it meant enduring the pain of separation, she couldn’t bring herself to accept him back into her life.

As her emotions surged, she felt as if she were teetering on the edge of a precipice. “Jayceon, I can’t bear the thought of my husband betraying me. I can’t accept that you still harbor feelings for the one who slipped through your fingers. And the idea of you fathering a child with another woman? That’s something I simply can’t reconcile!”

Her voice cracked with emotion as she continued, “I’m terrified of the filth that surrounds this situation. Just picturing you with them makes me feel nauseous; it’s as if I’m drowning in a sea of despair. I can’t be near you anymore!”

The fierce determination burning in Arabella’s eyes sent a wave of panic through Jayceon. He felt trapped, unable to articulate the turmoil within him.

He took a step closer, his heart racing as he reached out to console her. “Arabella, I know Georgina and her son exist in our lives now, but you are my only wife. I will not divorce you for them. I refuse to let that happen.”

Their gazes locked in a silent battle, and Jayceon leaned in, craving a kiss that would bridge the growing divide between them. But Arabella, resolute, turned her head away, evading his touch.

In a moment of sheer frustration, Jayceon pulled her back into his embrace, capturing her lips with his own once more. The kiss was fierce, urgent, filled with a raw desire that seemed to echo his need to prove his love.

Arabella fought against him, struggling to break free, but Jayceon was relentless, pushing her back onto the sofa as he kissed her with a fervor that left them both breathless.

Amid their passionate struggle, Jayceon’s phone slipped from his pocket, tumbling to the ground. The device vibrated, and as Arabella’s hand accidentally brushed against it, the call connected without either of them realizing.

“Arabella, let’s have a child,” Jayceon whispered, the words slipping from his lips in a moment of heated passion.

On the other end of the line, Georgina was stunned into silence, her breath hitching as she overheard the intimate exchange.

Taking a deep breath, she shook off her frustration and dove headfirst into her work, determined to keep her mind occupied.

A week sped by in a blur of activity. Just as Arabella returned to Zelmere, she received a call from the auction house; the appraisal for her mother’s jewelry set was finally ready.

After conferring with her parents, she decided on a reserve price of 1.5 billion and enlisted Nexus Investment Bank to oversee the auction. With that amount guaranteed, she could not only secure her divorce from Jayceon but also liberate herself from the chains of her current miserable existence.

This financial windfall would ensure her brother could complete his education at a prestigious private school while also enhancing her parents’ quality of life.

From that moment on, Arabella’s singular focus became clear: she would work tirelessly to earn enough to buy back that cherished jewelry set while her parents were still alive.

The following morning, Arabella arrived at work, only to be summoned into the director’s office almost immediately.

“Mrs. Melendez,” the director addressed her with a respectful tone, attempting to navigate the delicate situation. “I must suggest, with the utmost tact, that you consider resigning.”

Arabella felt her heart sink as she politely exited his office, her mind racing with the implications of his words. Back at the old mansion, Sir Melendez had given her a week to resign, threatening to intervene if she didn’t comply. It seemed he had grown impatient.

As she stepped out of the director’s office, she unexpectedly collided with Jayceon, who stood there with Georgina and her son by the elevators, a sight that sent a fresh wave of turmoil crashing over her.
