**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 114**
In the dimly lit hallway, Jayceon and Arabella stood mere feet apart, their eyes locked in a fierce confrontation. The air was thick with unspoken words, and the tension crackled like electricity between them.
Behind the door of the private dining room, a small group of onlookers held their breath, peering out to witness the unfolding drama. They were like moths drawn to a flame, eager to see how this confrontation would play out.
Jayceon, his voice strained but steady, spoke first, “Let’s find somewhere private to discuss this.” He was trying to keep his anger at bay, but it simmered just beneath the surface.
Arabella crossed her arms, her expression unyielding. “You know as well as I do that the two of us won’t resolve anything alone. If you want to make any headway, bring your beloved woman into the conversation. Maybe then we can come to some sort of conclusion.”
At her words, Jayceon’s expression darkened, shadows flickering across his face.
“Arabella,” he replied, his voice low and intense, “why must you involve someone else in the issues that lie between us as husband and wife?”
With a swift motion, Arabella shook off his grip and reclaimed her purse, her eyes flashing with indignation. “She’s not just ‘someone else,’ Jayceon. She is the woman you profess to love, the mother of your child. You can’t just brush that aside.”
They stood there, locked in a fierce gaze, the atmosphere around them growing increasingly suffocating. The world around them faded, leaving only the two of them and the weight of their shared history.
Jayceon forced a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, struggling to find the right words. But the silence stretched between them, heavy and unyielding.
Arabella’s voice cut through the stillness, cold and biting. “Jayceon, you can run Zelmere and command the best legal team that the Melendez Corporation can offer, but you cannot hide the truth of your infidelity and the existence of your illegitimate child! That is an undeniable fact!”
Her words hung in the air like a dark cloud, heavy with the gravity of their implications. “I came here today to give you a warning. If you don’t show up at the court hearing in three days, I won’t just tarnish your reputation; I will ensure that your precious woman is forever labeled as a mistress!”
With that final proclamation, Arabella turned on her heel and strode away, her determination palpable in every step she took.
Jayceon remained rooted in place, a storm of emotions swirling within him, but he did not chase after her. He felt the weight of regret pressing down on his shoulders like an anchor.
Just then, Samuel emerged from the private dining room, a knowing look on his face. He reached into Jayceon’s pocket, retrieving the pink diamond ring that had been so carelessly tucked away, and thrust it into Kimberly’s hands.
“Go after Arabella,” he urged Kimberly, his tone urgent. “Help your brother out and give this ring to her. See if she’ll accept it.”
Kimberly nodded, determination in her eyes, and hurried after Arabella. Meanwhile, Samuel orchestrated the scene below, stopping the music on the first floor to cue a particular song that had significance for the couple.
