**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 204**

From his vantage point high above, Jayceon surveyed the vibrant city of Zelmere sprawled beneath him, the lights twinkling like stars scattered across the earth. Yet, despite the lively scene, an oppressive weight settled in his chest, leaving him restless and uneasy.

Arabella’s disappointment felt like a heavy cloak draped over his shoulders. The thought of her frustration gnawed at him, a constant reminder of the distance that had crept between them.

How could she be so upset? She had always been his rock, a constant source of love and support. The realization that he had inadvertently suppressed her spirit for far too long struck him like a thunderclap. Was this outburst merely a release of pent-up emotions?

In the depths of his heart, he believed in the strength of their bond. After everything they had endured together—the trials, the triumphs, the endless back-and-forth—surely, they could not let it all crumble now. Divorce seemed unimaginable, a fate he refused to accept.

With a heavy sigh, Jayceon turned away from the window and made his way to his desk. He reached for the intercom, his fingers trembling slightly as he pressed the button. “Steve, please have the lawyer come to my office,” he instructed, his voice steady despite the turmoil within.

Once he ended the call, he felt a sudden urge to reach out to Arabella. He quickly typed a message, his heart racing as he hit send, hoping for a response that would ease his worries.

Meanwhile, Arabella glanced at her phone, the screen lighting up with Jayceon’s message. Just as she was about to respond, the insistent chime of the doorbell interrupted her thoughts. With a resigned sigh, she set her phone down and made her way to the door.

As she swung it open, Georgina stormed in, her face a mask of fury. Arabella stepped aside, allowing her friend to enter the living room, but the tension in the air was palpable. Georgina’s gaze landed on the telltale marks on Arabella’s neck, and a flash of jealousy ignited in her eyes, turning them a stormy shade of red.

“You’ve been saying all along that you’d help me, that you were planning to divorce Jay,” Georgina spat, her voice laced with bitterness. “But I never imagined you were plotting against me from the very start!”

Arabella’s expression shifted to one of bewilderment. “Georgina, you can’t just barge in here and hurl accusations at me! Have you lost your mind?”

Realizing she had let her emotions get the better of her, Georgina took a deep breath, trying to rein in her anger. “I just got off the phone with Jay. He told me to vacate the upstairs apartment by tonight. Are you satisfied now?” she replied, her voice tinged with desperation.

Arabella rubbed her temples, the weight of the situation pressing down on her. The plan she had concocted had backfired spectacularly. Initially, she had envisioned a scenario where Jayceon and Georgina would end up together, and then she would leverage that to gain Georgina’s support in forcing Jayceon to divorce her. But now, she found herself ensnared in her own web of deceit, with an unexpected rift forming between Georgina and Jayceon.

To Georgina, Arabella’s silence was damning, a clear indication of guilt and hidden motives. Arabella felt her mind go blank, the enormity of her predicament crashing down around her. She sank onto the sofa, desperately trying to devise a plan.

“Do you have any suggestions?” she finally asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
