**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**

**Chapter 239**
Just two days prior, while sharing a meal with a colleague in the bustling cafeteria, Arabella had been struck by an unexpected wave of nausea that left her feeling lightheaded and queasy. At the time, she brushed it off, attributing her discomfort to a simple cold that she believed would pass quickly. But now, as she sat alone in the dim light of her bathroom, she realized this was the second time she had experienced such an unsettling sensation.
She had been enjoying good meals and restful nights lately, and her colleagues had even remarked on her fuller figure, suggesting she had gained a bit of weight. Arabella had confidently assumed this was a result of Jayceon’s absence, which had surprisingly lifted her spirits. However, as the gravity of her situation began to sink in, she couldn’t shake the feeling that she had been recklessly oblivious to the signs her body was presenting.
As a doctor, even without firsthand experience of pregnancy, Arabella had a sinking suspicion about what was unfolding within her. She felt a tightness in her chest as she wrapped her arms around her knees, her breathing becoming shallow and uneven. Tomorrow, she knew, would bring the necessity of a pregnancy test.
Outside the bathroom door, Jayceon stood with his deep, thoughtful eyes focused intently on the closed door. Something seemed to click in his mind, and he quickly pulled out his phone, scrolling through the calendar with urgency. A myriad of emotions danced across his face—curiosity, concern, and a flicker of hope. His gaze returned to the door, and he couldn’t help but grip his phone tighter, excitement bubbling beneath the surface.
An involuntary smile crept across his lips, his eyes softening with affection as he contemplated the possibilities. Just as he was lost in his thoughts, his phone buzzed with an incoming call. He rapped gently on the bathroom door, his voice laced with concern. “Arabella, I’m taking a call. Please don’t stay in there too long.”
Silence met his words, and a wave of worry washed over him. He knocked again, a hint of urgency creeping into his tone. “Arabella?”
Inside, Arabella squeezed her eyes shut, striving to calm the storm of emotions swirling within her. She took deep breaths, trying to regain her composure, before finally opening the bathroom door and stepping out.
Jayceon’s gaze fell upon her, his expression shifting to one of concern as he took in her noticeably pale complexion. Without hesitation, he reached out, guiding her to the side of the bed with a gentle hand. He pulled back the covers, encouraging her to settle in.
Bending down, he delicately brushed a stray strand of hair from her forehead, his touch tender. “I’m going to the study to take a call. If you’re feeling unwell, just call for me, okay?” His voice was soothing, his movements careful and deliberate. “Make sure to keep the blanket on; I don’t want you to catch a chill.”
Arabella met his gaze, and for reasons she couldn’t quite understand, a wave of anxiety washed over her heart once more. She nodded, albeit half-heartedly, and lay down on her side, feeling the weight of his concern pressing down on her.
Jayceon’s eyes lingered on her delicate figure, which seemed fuller and more beautiful than ever, and a warmth spread through him, filling the space with an unspoken tenderness. Just then, his phone rang again, prompting him to quietly slip out of the bedroom.
