**TITLE: Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 263**

Arabella’s voice sliced through the heavy silence, her words firm and resolute. “I’ll take the master bedroom, and you can have the other bed. We’ll each live our own lives, free from interference.”

The air was thick with tension, the weight of loss hanging heavily between them. The baby was gone, and the truth had emerged like a dark cloud overshadowing the Melendez family. Georgina’s son was not Jayceon’s. The revelation had struck like a lightning bolt, leaving devastation in its wake.

Sir, the patriarch, had been consumed by fury, his heart shattered at the news of his great-grandson’s absence. His anger had escalated to such a degree that he found himself in a hospital bed, grappling with the betrayal. Yet, despite his heartbreak, his sympathy for Georgina was non-existent.

Once that old bastard regained consciousness, she knew he would seek her out first, and the thought sent shivers down her spine.

Even amidst the chaos, Jayceon remained steadfast in his refusal to file for divorce. He believed that pushing him would only lead to her own downfall.

Jayceon’s gaze drifted, settling on Arabella’s eyes, which were filled with a distant sorrow. “Whatever you say,” he replied, his voice devoid of emotion.

He held onto the belief that time had the power to mend even the deepest wounds. As long as Arabella remained by his side, he was determined to help her forget the shadows of their past and carve out a new beginning together.

Meanwhile, in the modest downtown apartment where Georgina and her son resided, the atmosphere was charged with unease. Georgina was engaged in a heated conversation with Olivia over the phone, recounting how Tabitha, that old woman, had extended an olive branch, offering her a place to stay in an attempt to win her favor. Just as she was about to share more, the doorbell rang, cutting her off abruptly.

With a sense of foreboding, Georgina opened the door, her heart racing at the sight of Tabitha accompanied by two imposing bodyguards in the dead of night. She quickly ushered them into the living room, her mind racing with questions.

“Leandro, get your grandmother a glass of water,” she instructed her son, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside. She cast a quick glance at the bodyguards, their presence a stark reminder of the gravity of the situation, before turning her attention back to Tabitha.

“Mrs. Melendez,” Georgina ventured cautiously, “has the old man finally agreed to accept Leandro into the Melendez family?”

A mysterious smile played on Tabitha’s lips, and Georgina’s heart raced with anticipation. She barely contained her excitement, hoping for a favorable response.

Before Tabitha could utter a word, Georgina urged her son, “Leandro, hurry and thank your grandmother.”

But before the boy could express his gratitude, Tabitha interjected sharply, “Georgina, you have some nerve thinking you can bring the child you had with your ex-husband into the Melendez family!”

The words hit Georgina like a thunderclap, leaving her momentarily speechless. How could this old woman possibly know the truth about her son’s parentage?

Standing before Tabitha, Georgina felt a wave of guilt wash over her, her façade crumbling. She feigned innocence, her voice trembling slightly, “Mrs. Melendez, what are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
