**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
By J.S. Caldwell
**Chapter 53**

After a brief moment of contemplation, he changed his clothes, gathered the paternity test, and grabbed the car keys before making his way downstairs. The stillness of the night enveloped him as he stepped outside, the air crisp and cool against his skin.

At one o’clock in the morning, he found himself parked at the entrance of the complex where Arabella’s parents resided. The streetlights cast a soft glow, illuminating the path as he parked his car by the roadside. He rolled down the window, the night air rushing in, and lit a cigarette, the flame briefly flickering in the darkness. His eyes drifted to the fourth-floor window across the street, where shadows danced behind the curtains, hinting at life inside.

With the cigarette dangling from his fingers, he clutched the paternity test report tightly in his other hand, his brow furrowing in frustration. It was as if he was caught in a storm of choices, each one more daunting than the last. The weight of his decision pressed heavily on his chest, making it hard to breathe.

Just then, the car door swung open, and Samuel slid into the passenger seat, breaking the spell of silence that had enveloped Jayceon. Samuel followed his gaze across the street, the tension palpable between them. “You know you can’t just abandon Georgina and her son for Arabella, right? And there’s no way you can explain this fake paternity test report to her. So, what exactly do you plan to do while you’re sitting here?”

Jayceon turned his gaze away from the window, flicking the ash from his cigarette into the night. “Arabella is just angry right now. She’ll come around.”

Samuel raised an eyebrow, skepticism etched across his face. “Do you honestly believe that, once she calms down, Arabella will just accept the fact that you’re living happily with Georgina and her child? You really think that’s going to fly?”

“I’ll talk to her,” Jayceon replied, his voice firm yet tinged with uncertainty.

Samuel shook his head in disbelief, finding Jayceon’s optimism almost laughable.

After Samuel exited the car, Jayceon lingered for a moment longer, the night stretching out before him. As the first hints of dawn began to break, he finally composed a message to Arabella, his fingers hovering over the screen as he debated what to say. With a deep breath, he hit send and then drove back to the mansion, his mind racing with thoughts of what awaited him.

Chester was an early riser, always eager to start his day with morning exercises. When he spotted Jayceon returning at such an ungodly hour, he wasted no time in instructing the butler to rouse everyone from their slumber.

In the living room, Jayceon placed the paternity test report on the coffee table with a deliberate motion, the sound echoing in the quiet room. “Leo is my biological son,” he declared, his voice steady but filled with urgency. “If you still doubt me, I can arrange for another paternity test right here, right now.”

Tabitha’s eyes widened as she picked up the report, her breath hitching in her throat as she glanced at the evidence. It was as if the world had momentarily stopped for her, and she nearly fainted on the spot.

Kimberly, standing nearby, shot Jayceon a glare filled with resentment before rushing to support her mother, fear and disbelief etched on her face.

Jayceon stood firm before Chester, his determination unwavering. “Grandpa, Dad, I have proven that the child is mine. If you even think about hurting Gina and Leo, I will put my name on the child’s birth certificate, bring them both back into the family, and publicly acknowledge them. The world will know they are my woman and son.”
