**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 90**

Arabella halted abruptly, her heart pounding with a mix of disbelief and fury. “You poured out all your love and trust for Georgina without hesitation, and now you have a child together. Yet, you still managed to hurt my brother right in front of me—all for the woman you claim to love. What kind of husband and wife are we?” Her voice trembled, a storm of emotions swirling within her.

Taking a deep breath, Jayceon seized the moment to grasp Arabella’s hand gently, as if trying to bridge the widening chasm between them. “Georgina is a kind soul. She despises creating enemies. She approached you with nothing but good intentions, hoping to extend an olive branch and foster a peaceful relationship.”

Arabella let out a bitter laugh, the sound sharp and laced with anger. “The legal wife and the mistress getting along peacefully? Jayceon, are you even hearing the absurdity of what you’re saying?” Her words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of their shared history.

For a brief moment, they locked eyes, and Jayceon fell into a thoughtful silence, grappling with the turmoil of his feelings.

Finally, he spoke, his voice steady but tinged with urgency. “You are my wife, Arabella. Georgina is merely a chapter in my past. I’ve seen the security footage from tonight, and there are witnesses who can attest to the truth. I did not wrongfully accuse Emmett.”

Arabella’s anger simmered beneath the surface, her gaze sharpening into an icy glare directed at Jayceon.

The investigation into the witnesses’ statements and the review of the footage would come later, but right now, the reality was stark. Jayceon had walked into the hospital room, completely disregarding her and her brother, his sole focus on caring for Georgina, hanging on her every word like a moth to a flame.

Seeing Arabella’s silence, Jayceon felt compelled to clarify. “I take responsibility for Emmett’s hand injury. I lost control of my strength in the heat of the moment. But none of this has anything to do with Georgina. Please, don’t direct your anger at her.”

Arabella’s eyes shimmered with unshed tears. “With the way you’re defending her, do you really think I would dare?” Her voice cracked, revealing the vulnerability beneath her fierce exterior.

They stood there, the air thick with unspoken words, and Jayceon’s gaze faltered, his bravado slipping away.

He lowered his eyes, shifting the topic in a desperate attempt to regain control. “How’s Emmett’s hand? I’ll accompany you to see him.”

But Jayceon’s attitude only deepened the wound in Arabella’s heart.

As memories of her brother’s frustrated expression and the sight of his injured wrist flooded her mind, Arabella felt a pang of sorrow that twisted painfully inside her.

In a sudden surge of emotion, she raised her hand and slapped Jayceon across the face, the sharp sound echoing in the tense silence that followed.

Jayceon turned his head, stunned, disbelief etched across his features, while a flicker of anger ignited in his eyes.

With her own eyes glistening red, Arabella spoke each word with deliberate intensity, “Jayceon, Emmett has looked up to you and been close to you since childhood. Yet, you chose to hurt him for a woman. You don’t deserve to be called ‘brother-in-law’.”

Without waiting for a response, Arabella turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Jayceon speechless, his heart heavy with regret.
