**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 89**

“Georgina was showing kindness to your brother. It wasn’t wrong of her to intervene and stop the driver from calling the police, was it?” Jayceon’s voice was steady, yet there was an undercurrent of uncertainty.

Arabella met his gaze, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. “If I were to tell you that Georgina orchestrated all of this deliberately, would you believe me?” Her voice was low, but the weight of her words hung heavily in the air.

Jayceon’s response was immediate, almost instinctual. “I believe Georgina wouldn’t do something like that.” His tone was firm, but the doubt lingered just beneath the surface.

Arabella’s eyes burned with a fierce determination, though the redness hinted at her struggle to maintain composure. “If you’re so set on believing her, then why even bother asking me?” Her words were sharp, laced with a hurt that was palpable.

They stood in silence, the tension thick between them. Jayceon was the first to break the connection, averting his gaze as if the act of looking away could somehow dissipate the storm brewing within.

“Enough of this,” he said, pushing Arabella away with a suddenness that caught her off guard. “If you have nothing constructive to say, then just be quiet.”

The force of his shove sent Arabella stumbling back, her heart racing as she regained her balance. She felt a mix of anger and betrayal, but before she could voice it, a familiar figure stepped into the fray.

Emmett, witnessing the scene unfold before him, felt a surge of protective fury boil within. His eyes burned with indignation as he saw his sister pushed aside. Ignoring the pain that shot through his wrist, he broke free from Jayceon’s grip with a fierce determination.

The sound of a joint dislocating echoed in the tense atmosphere, causing Jayceon to flinch and immediately release his hold. Emmett cradled his arm against his body, his face contorted in agony as he fought to remain upright.

“Emmett!” Arabella cried out, her voice tinged with panic as she rushed to his side.

Both Jayceon and Arabella hurried towards him, but Arabella, overwhelmed with emotion, pushed Jayceon away with a fierce urgency. “Let me handle this!” she exclaimed, her heart racing as she supported Emmett’s trembling form. Tears threatened to spill over as she whispered, “Don’t be scared, Emmett. I’ll take you to a doctor, I promise.”

Emmett’s complexion was ghostly pale, the pain evident in his features, but his eyes burned with a fierce determination. “Sis, I swear, when I grow up, I’ll make him pay for this!” he declared, his voice strained but resolute.

Arabella felt her heart shatter at his words, the weight of their situation crashing down on her. Unable to contain herself any longer, she broke into sobs, her body shaking with the force of her grief.

The sight of Arabella’s anguish struck Jayceon like a physical blow, a dull ache blossoming in his chest. He approached her, his voice softening without his conscious intent. “Arabella, please don’t cry. I didn’t mean to hurt him. I’ll find the best doctor for Emmett, right now,” he promised, the sincerity in his tone undeniable.

Arabella, still supporting her brother’s arm, looked up at Jayceon, her tears flowing freely like a river breaking through a dam. She tried to muster a smile, a desperate attempt to mask her pain, but it only made her tears fall harder.

Jayceon’s heart twisted painfully at the sight of her. The emotional turmoil swirling within him was suffocating, and he felt utterly helpless.

Without uttering another word, Arabella helped Emmett out of the hospital room, her silence speaking volumes. She had chosen to remain resolute, especially after Jayceon had dismissed her feelings so carelessly.
