My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 215

Sandra rattled the handle of her locked door. “What does that mean?” she shrieked. “He’s not coming to save me? Call him right now! I need to talk to him!”

“Lionel, save me! I’m not getting married! I won’t do it! Call him! Let me talk to him!”

Hearing Sandra’s heart-wrenching cries, the maid felt a pang of sympathy and immediately took out her phone.

“Don’t you dare!”

Before she could dial, David appeared behind her, snatched the phone, and smashed it on the floor.

“Get out!” he roared. “If I see you helping her again, you’re fired! You have no respect! Now get out!”

She trembled as she knelt to pick up the shattered pieces of her phone, then scrambled away. After a few steps, she couldn’t help but look back, worried about Sandra.

“What are you looking at? I said get out!”

“Dad, let me out! Please, I won’t marry him! I won’t!” Sandra’s voice was raw with desperation.

“It’s not your decision to make! We’ve already accepted the gifts from the Rosenbergs. The wedding dress will be here shortly. You will try it on, and if it doesn’t fit, we’ll have it altered. Now be quiet!”

At the mention of the wedding dress, Sandra froze. Tears streamed down her face. She gripped the doorknob, her lip already bleeding from how hard she was biting it, and then she started kicking the door with all her might.

“You’re animals, David! You’re not my father! You’re sending me to my death! Let me out! Open the door!”

“What happened here? Where is the wedding photo?”

Hearing Lionel’s angry voice, Cora rushed upstairs. “What’s wrong?”

A nearby maid whispered, “Mr. Rosenberg noticed the wedding photo on the bedside table is gone.”

Cora walked into the master bedroom and glanced at the frame. “There was never anything in that frame.”

Lionel turned to her. “What do you mean, ‘never anything’?”

Lily hurried over, pulling Cora behind her. “Mr. Rosenberg, Cora is new, she doesn’t know. The missus took the photo down over twenty days ago. She… she tore it up and told me to throw it in the trash.”
